Which Cards Should Head to the Hall of Fame in the 2018 Standard Rotation?
It might be too much for Standard, but maybe now that innervate has been nerfed?

Thats a good point, I like that idea

Yeah it would be weird to have Mage be the only class without a Classic legendary, someone suggested sorcerers apprentice instead, which would also solve the issue

Yeah I would love a “core” set that rotates annually, but that’s hard for Blizzard because they already promised Classic would stick around. I actually love doomguard, one of my favorite cards ever, but I think it’s been too staple for too long, and Cube lock is going to be out of control post rotation. Freeze Mage has many tools that promote an uninteractove style of play, but it can’t do it without Ice Block. Ice Block makes your opponents board irrelevant, and Paladin is the only class with an answer to it that doesn’t weigh you down in other matchups.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind that, or be surprised if they did it.

Personally I like change, and the evergreen set makes that hard. It’s still a safe investment though, Blizzard refunds the FULL dust cost and lets you keep he card when they rotate it, so if you don’t play wild you can dust it afterwards and actually profit from the rotation.

Interesting, that could be good. Just remember the new one is a Demon.

Medivh might be okay, but this deck doesn’t want to actually play it’s spells. It also has a very small draw engine, so I imagine Atiesh would be sitting on the field not getting value a lot of the time. Who knows though, it might help in some of the grindier matchups. Zola might be cool (it could also grab you more Duskbreakers), but this deck already has a lot of value and Zola would hurt your tempo if drawn too early.

It’s hard because this deck doesn’t have a very strong turn 1 and 2. You have to be really aggressive, and if Highlander plays Raza and Anduin on curve they’re probably going to win. Just try to rush them down.

Who says it’s tier 2? Some stat site? Cube lock is both complicated and popular so it could be that it’s just not being played well across most ranks.

Those two decks are far and away the best two in the meta, everything struggles against them.

That’s been Priest’s problem since the game began, never having any good 2-cost minions. It got its first REALLY good one with Radiant Elemental, but for this deck that might as well be River Croc. You could try out Mana Geode but that seems bad to me. There’s also Acidic Swamp Ooze (for Mage and Warlock surprisingly) and Golakka Crawler.

Gorgan is interesting, if it werent for Prince Id probably try that. Your card choices look fun, good luck on the ladder!

Ah, I get it now. Yeah, what Matt said.

Id go for tar creepers probably. As long as youre adding one you could find space for another.
Cubelock Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Definitely playable, but strictly worse.
Cubelock Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
It’s worse because it has a secondary cost for the same benefit (having to destroy your own minion). Glad you liked it!

You’re welcome! It was good in Mally druid until Innervate got nerfed. It probably won’t see much play in other decks, but unless Warlock gets a GLORIOUS 3-cost card I bet it will be in this one until the deck is obsolete.

Id say its significantly better. It does a lot of handy things like adding Doomguards to your Guldan pool and copying Cubes. Its also helpful in the mirror and occasionally good against aggro (copy Patches or Righteous Protector). That being said, it isn’t mandatory, and that it even found one deck its good in is a miracle, so crafting it may not be worth it unless you LOVE the deck. Not including it lets you run Tar Creeper and/or Stonehill Defender, which the deck probably otherwise wants.
Yeah that would be nice, they’ll have to add more eventually one way or another. Classic has a LOT of cards compared to other sets though, so they have some room to cut things.
