Which Cards Should Head to the Hall of Fame in the 2018 Standard Rotation?
It’s true, that deck doesn’t win a lot, against most things. OTK Mage wins a disproportionate amount against value based control decks though. My issue isn’t how successful that deck is specifically, it’s that the presence of decks like that one encourage aggro/otk metagames, which are no fun for anyone. Also, as was suggested in previous comments, Sorceror’s Apprentice could be rotated instead of Antonidas, solving issue without rotating a class legendary.
You’re right, Doomguard is not the reason Cube-lock is so strong, but it is the reason it has such ridiculous burst damage. I suggested Doomguard because it fits Blizzard’s reasoning for rotating cards to the HoF, and I think Cube-lock should lose something with rotation (right now it loses nothing it cares about). Doomguard was fantastic long before Malchazar’s Imp, so unless you started playing since Imp was printed then I’m not sure where you’re coming from. Side note, I wrote this before the recent nerfs, I think it’s pretty clear now that Voidlord is 90% of the problem with that deck. If it were up to me it would get ruined.
Tavern Brawl Venture Into the Wild!
Heh heh, Blizz be like “Sshh, Giants Hunter doesn’t exist”.

Do you die before you gain the armor? Harsh. I would definitely recommend the Priest one over this one, but even though this deck looks pretty janky it’s not that bad. Definitely fails against Pallie though.

Prince Keleseth would be the best, you could also go with Faerie Dragon. If you put in Keleseth you have to take out shadow ascendant.

That’s typically better in the cube-less control variant, but you could try it.

That is off topic, but I mostly agree.

The deck already has tools to beat Big Priest in a fair game, the one weakness being Barnes on 4, in which case Nether doesn’t help. I don’t think Nether is necessarily bad, but this deck wants to be the aggressor by that point in the game, and Nether would be a “planning to fail” card.

That sounds like Demonlock, which is a more Voidlord-centric deck. Runs a lot of similar cards but functions very differently.

That’s awesome, glad you liked the guide!

He’s optimal but not mandatory. Try it out for a while and if you like it definitely think about crafting him. I would substitute Power Overwhelming until you decide.

You could play an aggro deck with Spellbreakers to get through the Voidlords.
Cubelock Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
That would be more for Demon-lock, Cube-lock can just Doomguard them to death.

I hear Spiteful Priest and OTK Paladin are doing all right.

Acidic Swamp Ooze and Gluttonous Ooze are the other good weapon removal cards, either would be fine. You could also add Kabal Songstealer.

Don’t feel dirty, this deck isn’t brainless. It’s very strong, but you have to be decent to win with it 🙂 GL on your golden hero!

Grumble is pretty mediocre… right now. If you’re limited on dust then disenchanting it for Voidlords makes a lot of sense, but if you really like it it’s the kind of card that may see play eventually.

Thanks! Yeah I wouldn’t mind seeing any of that go, powerful Classic/Basic cards like those do limit design space a ton.
Loatheb is important to your overall winrate, but without it you can still play the deck. You could replace it with Alexstrasza if you have her or w.e else if not. Save up for Loatheb, he’s one of the strongest cards in the game.
