I don’t understand why Blizz keeps on printing bad hunter cards compared to other classes. Are they confused on what Hunter’s identity is? Cause if you push too much on druid’s ramp identity, why not push other classes’ identity as well?

Druid wasn’t always on top. Remember Shamanstone? Thank god that’s over. Druids are much more tolerable now than Shamans back then.
Mecha'thun
This is hmm. I don’t know what to say.. I just wish they just revised the old mechanic to a new one. The old mechanic gave C’Thun his identity. This card is his shell.

With proper deck building, this card is nuts! The one thing that sold it is its specific mechanic – discounting minions. Though due to its high mana, the only downside is you would have to have a lot of high mana cards in your decks to make it work, making you draw them more often during the mulligan phase.
I think, and predict, this card would see play, but not as much as people expect it to. Flobbidinous Floop is already enough to push the latter archetype to the top.
The Soularium
The saving grace if zoolocks! This mitigates the chances of reaching lethal at topdecking situations. Hate then feeling when you’re only 4 damage away from victory but you topdecked a Flame Imp? Negate that Frost Lich Jaina turn and use this to draw that Doomguard or Soulfire! 😀 Love it!
Arcane Dynamo
The Description from the card is different from the description below (the one written/transcribed in the article). Seems confusing.
HSTD Boomsday Project Giveaway - Two Mega Bundles, Five Regular Bundles!
What will happen if I’ve already bought the bundle I win? (If ever I do)
Weaponized Pinata
I love the statline. And oh, I love having the chance to get Duskfallen Aviana out of this! Hahaha.
Demonic Project
100% unreliable. Why slot this into your deck? You lose 1 or 2 card slots thinking that you can mess with those combo decks, to only realize that more than half of the time, you can just give them a better card and screw up yours.
What is this card gonna do with odd paladin now? Would this card matter if you hit that tar creeper in a taunt druid deck and give them a voidlord or a 5/7 freakin charge
Most combo decks that are popular nowadays rely on 1 card. Having to gamble just to get a chance to screw it up would end to your demise more often.
Giggling Inventor
I would love a more refined anti-aggro card that I can drop in an earlier turn than this one. Have 2 annoy-o-trons at turn 5 is an abysmal play. I’d rather bring Abomination than this any day.
One thing that I can commend about this card is that, it can be used in token based decks. The stickier the minions, the better. Though outside of those, there are better options.
Flobbidinous Floop
Blizzard! Job well done! This my friends, is what I call an awesome legendary!
This card simply has no downsides on its own! Even in the worse case scenario (like dropping a vanila minion beforehand), this card’s stats is passable.
Of course, in a deck building standpoint, Oaken Summon would be a detrimental piece when they’re together, Master Oakheart can mess up your gameplan, but sheesh, even if I get to recruit this card, it won’t really matter cause it’s still a 3/4 minion in play, and once the situation and draw RNG is in my favor, this is nuts!
Malygos has enough support to still want floop, but it could be boosted some more. The fact of the matter is, this card is far more rewarding than a detriment. If it were, let’s say, a 4 mana 2/2 or the likes, then this would be horrid in the worst case scenario.
The fact that this card is still good at the worst case scenario further solidifies its place as a perfect compensation to the once great Fandral Staghelm!
Feels good man!
Kangor's Endless Army
Hmm, I’m just not quite convinced with the strength of this card. It lacks efficiency and would heavily rely on building around it.
I envision this card to be seen in a control paladin deck, which runs lay on hands and all paladin’s survival tool just to pull this off. This is a worse Malygos iteration of some popular decks due to it’s combo never getting the OTK.
One plus is that you can just run your mechs and drop ’em down in the mid to late game to catch your opponent off guard. It’s just quite odd to see a class that Blizzard deemed to provide mech heavy support, to have this card since this Card will only limit the mechs that the class uses for efficiency.
There are only 30 cards in a deck. 1 would be this, how many other mechs are you trying to run? 4? 6? 10? How efficient would the spell’s effect be? You only have 10 mana maximum. Zilliax can only support by controlling board, then next turn, control board, then next control board, then this the next turn? Seems too predictable and uses too much investment just to pull it off, if you ask me.
You aren’t also guaranteed to have your mechs stick every single time. Having 2 minions, just for the sake of the Magnetic effect, already consumes 2 slots of decks space. Just think about how draw RNG could really mess you up.
I know hearthstone is a game full of RNG, but I’d rather stick with a controlled outcome, than a bizarre and risky one.
Just my thought guys. Please don’t judge. 🙂
Dr. Boom, Mad Genius
They are indeed very good, I agree, though the entire point of my comment was to voice out my disappointment to what Dr. Boom turned out to be. Remember Dr. Boom from GvG? Man was he awesome, plus, despite all community feedback, and despite all rants (I’m pointing at you Dr. Balanced, Dr. 7, etc.), he was and never got hit by the Nerf Bat. That’s how I visioned him in hearthstone eversince, a complete badass of a card. Patches the Pirate got hit by the nerf bat – no one was as controversial as Dr. Boom was! So seeing him in a different light, and a different take, he is far overshadowed by his former self. Good thing rotations came out, the saving grace from the Tyranny of Dr. Boom.
I miss those Boom Bots. A play around it would’ve been fun.
Dr. Boom, Mad Genius
I’m quite disappointed with how Dr. Boom turned out.
First, the first iteration of Dr. Boom is far superior to this one. What I was expecting was a Minion somewhat like the Lich King, which can be slotted to multiple types of decks. Having it a Warrior-specific card sealed its fate (well, imo anyway, don’t judge).
Second, the battlecry is nuts if and only if:
1.) Enough viable mechs get implemented into the game
2.) When you battle with someone who is in it for the value game
You can’t stop lethal with this card since your battlecry doesn’t impact the board at the turn it’s played, at the same time, you don’t get a reliable hero power at hand. Think about the scenarios where you would prefer to have that Alextrasza to save you instead of this one.
Lastly, it’s a hero card that is not very superior to Warrior’s current Hero card. A lot may argue that this is better. How many time have you been in a position wherein you only needed that final 4 damage to push face, or to clear minions that would have put you down to a critical state? Well, this card won’t help you in those situations.
This is a win-more card, and is only good when the battle goes ’till turn 10 and beyond, or if your a friend of RNGsus – hitting those hero powers EXACTLY at times when you need them, but nope, having too many options for Hero powers would put you in a position far worse than praying to roll a Wrath of Air Totem to push for lethal with Lightning Bolt when your opponent is at 4 Health.
Just disappointed. Dr. Boom is a Hearthstone icon. He can do much better than that.
I think it’s fine to give Druid a good legendary this expansion. Their legendary in Witchwood was just.. meh.
