Clone Priest Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
I think it could have value! Just try to keep your base deck together, because you need a strong base to carry the weak combo pieces.

Corrected, thanks! Looks I was thinking about my opponent π

Togwaggle Druid will most likely be a better deck than it was in the last meta!

As i said in other comments, this deck is not about buffing a minion over multiple turns. If you want to play Combo Priest successfully, you have to make your opponent waste board removal and silences early so that you’ll eventually have a minion up that could make the kill next turn.
Test Subject is there to clone your precious spells in one or two big turns; that means you’ll have everything going for you after the turn ends, so no silence really helps anyway.

I think it’s very hard to throw away the dragon package. Duskbreaker does everything you want and more. You don’t need Nova, you don’t need SW:P.
In theory your draw approach sounds fine, but Combo Priest needs to get on the board and, much more importantly, stay on the board for a turn! You won’t keep a minion alive when your top end consists of minions that all have less than 4 health π

“T1 you drop Test Subject” That’s where you should already consider your line of play. You don’t want to kill your opponent with Test Subject, at least not in your average game. Even against Aggro you want to play Radiant Elemental or Northshire early, because a big Test Subject will not help against many low-health minions.
I agree on the Mass Dispel part. I’d even like to see a Pyromancer in upcoming lists, just because it’s so incredibly good against all Aggro decks. As we know from two expansions ago, Combo/Control Priest have a lot of tech cards to their hands that don’t change the base package at all!
Boomship Recruit Warrior Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Thanks for the feedback! Recruit Warrior is also called “Wallet Warrior 2.0” and is definitely not a budget list, that’s for sure. That’s why I’m almost happy that it’s not a tier 1 deck, and it will most definitely become a tier 1 deck during Boomsday.
I have high hopes for Mech Warrior as well. Tempo-based Warrior lists are my guilty pleasure, and I plan to do a guide for all the four Tempo Warrior lovers on this site! π
Boomship Recruit Warrior Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
You’re right, I misremembered the whirlwind effect.
However, I still think that Boom still performs better in any control matchup compared to Garrosh. The fact that you have to trade your 2 armor each turn for a whirlwind effect, something that is in your deck not less than four times in the form of War Path and Blood Razor, makes the card unplayable on a regular base.
Boom can low-roll, but should still be consistent enough in longer games. Garrosh can produce swing turns with Shadowmourne, and that’s great, but anything after that can be achieved through other tools as well.
And while I may not be the best Warrior player around, I still rely on the expertise of pros like Fibonacci or Casie. Both of them and many others believe that Boom will be good enough to be played outside of Mech-based decks as well.
I like your approach regarding Weapons Project! It could definitely become a nice tech inclusion if Tempo Mage and Malygos Druid dominate the meta as hard as the community think they will.
Boomship Recruit Warrior Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
It was definitely a hard decision to leave out Garrosh. The key argument was that, on the long term, Boom is just better and offers defensive abilities. Yes, the weapon is great against aggro, but Boom can whirlwind as well and much more.
In this case I accept that the already bad matchup against Odd Paladin stays bad, but I improve win rates against basically every control-heavy archetype with Boom because of the flexible hero powers.
Mind Blast Control Priest Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Yup, your last point is the important one. Shudderwock Shaman has been teched out, and you just have to accept that it’s basically your only very unfavorable matchup looking at T1 and T2 decks. Accept it and try to go for the short run by playing minions on curve that can hit face as early as possible.
Expansion Clue from HS Twitter Accounts? Eye Wash Station - The Eye - Tempest Keep
Very exciting! Many of us still feel the burn from the Cenarion Circle hints before the Witchwood, so I myself am very conservative when it comes to doubling down on the definitive theme. But after this hint it just has to be something in or around Netherstorm!
Mind Blast Control Priest Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Thanks for the kind feedback! This deck really represents everything I love about this game, and that is why I try to provide as much insight as I possibly can. Reading comments like yours are more than enough to keep me going, and I just want to let you know that this it is very appreciated; that goes for 95% of the comments in this section in general π
I haven’t played MB Priest this season due to other archetypes priorities (I’m currently on a 14-win streak with Zalae’s Odd Rogue, my lord is this deck great).
Once I hit a wall with Odd Rogue I will come back to it, and your suggestions already hit the nail on the head. Both Paladins and Warlocks see way less play right now, therefore weapon removal becomes less important. Odd Rogue is still around, but they have easy weapon reload, and removal cards in that case are just not impactful enough in my opinion.
Another thing is the Dragon package; I can see Scaleworm making a comeback to newer list due to its strength against mid game minion-heavy archetypes like Even Warlock or Recruit Hunter.
Greedy inclusions like Cabal Shadow Priest can create tons of value; I can even see things like Stonehill Defender make a great 1-of inclusion, just because it’s great against every successful Aggro archetype at the moment, and it’s provides good value as well.
The vanishing of Warlock and Paladin of course means that two of MB Priest’s most favorite matchups see less and less play. Swing-intense and currently very successful decks like Recruit Hunter and Taunt Druid are not favorable matchups, and most importantly, players get better and better with decks, which really doesn’t favor the matchup as well.
However, the time Priest has been one of the worst classes in general when it comes to pure win rate is now, and that means that most players don’t tech against Priest. Control decks get greedier and greedier, which means less Health and Armor gain in, for example, many Druid and Warlock lists. Many players will expect a Quest Priest list, just because MB Priest is not very common as of right now.
In the end, it’s just like you said. The ability to make plays and decisions depending on YOUR playstyle is still unmatched when playing this deck, and this fact outweighs every meta change. I said it a lot of times in this comment section: If you are a good player playing this deck with confidence, you will climb no matter what.
Minion Adjustments Coming in an Upcoming Patch: Molten/Mountain Giant Becoming Elementals and More!
Not nerdy at all! I’m pretty sure that labelling Moonkins as beasts was just a plain design decision that nobody really thought about.
I’m not too sure when it comes to the Giants changes, because it’s not really canon. Besides that, I’d wish for a separate “Giant” tag one day. π

This is lore justice porn at its best, so glad to see those changes!
The Year of the Raven's Second Expansion - Could it be The Ethereals?
Yup! Mid-August would be my guess, but we have to see how things go with the release of WoW’s new expansion (August 14th). Because of that we could see a release towards the end of August as well!

Who is Chromie? The Story Behind the "Taverns of Time"
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I’m in the same boat, the original RTS lore will always be my true “root” that leads into the Warcraft universe. I hope they continue connecting the dots of the franchise through all the different games!

Well, holding Northshire against Shaman has one big upside: You’ll want it badly against Even Shaman. They normalle run no 3-attack minion in the 2-mana slot, so you’re almost guaranteed to draw a card or even remove a Dire Wolf Alpha or a Knife Juggler.
And it’s fine to keep against Shudderwock as well. Having one of three or four cards that you need to activate your on-turn draw machine makes sense. The same goes for Taunt Druid, or maybe even more; you need to maximize your chances to draw into your real win condition, an early Alex/Anduin. There’s also Token Druid around, and Northshire does well as an early drop against that as well, so it’s a win-win, similar to Shaman.
I should’ve specified my statement regarding Malygos Druid on a “competitive” level. The deck has been the best overall performing deck during HCT Fall EU, and countless EU pro players have stated that Maly Druid is, in a vacuum, the best tournament deck right now.
To put it short: NA has been in love with Token Druid, it always has been, just like Asia has been in love with Control Paladin back in the old days. Like you said, Token Druid can have a good shot against Maly Druid, but that doesn’t mean that Token Druid in general is the better deck.
Last but not least, I do believe that EU has the most competitive scene, and while I do pay my respect to other regions as well, I still think that EU has the best players overall, and many claim that Malygos Druid is not only the best deck but also a major problem for this and upcoming metas!
I do, however, see your point that Token Druid is a very powerful deck; in my opinion it just looks better because of polarized matchups and the fact that a majority of players in HCT had to choose between Token or Maly.
Thanks for the praise, nevertheless! π
