For Priest I like the idea of destroy a DR minion (Kaarhj, Infiltrator, Karthut, etc) This is a great card for Rez Priest (thinking in the res pool). Premium stats for 4 mana so should be treat as a soft-taunt.

For Warlock, obvious choice is Zoo but could see play in other archetypes (Quest/Control).

Decent Legendary. 4/5.

I’m surprised of Rogue’s performance despite Gala nerf…

Thanks for this review as always! It’s a bit early to rate some cards as you said so I guess some of them will get support this expansion, will see in the end the power level of the overall set.

Blizz nerfing 0 mana cards and then prints this one!! This card will be in the first nerfs batch for sure!

This card is Broken! Specially if targets Taunts, Buffed minions (Edwins/QEs), Deathrattle. Control Shaman/Mage get ready!

This cards fits better in Rogue than Mage but it’s an OK card.

Tempo Priest needs card draw if not you run out of cards. It’s the slowest class in this moment.

The deck is powerful but very draw dependent and mulligan is super important. A bad starting hand is almost Concede.

You can beat most of them with Alex, Ooze, Freeze spells and minions, and the 5 mana tech that destroys the armor. Quest Malylock and Gala Priest worked fine for me.

Bad Luck Albatross may be teched as a 1-of in control decks to prevent the rise of highlanders. After the patch my bets:

DH will be strong (less OP) not aggro as will cut Frenzied Felwing. Maybe a Priestest of Fury build.

Druid will change from Spell to Big archetype.

Highlander Rogue/Hunter/Mage will rise in popularity.

Warlock will se a lot of experimentation with Jaraxxus.

Time to craft Jaraxxus!

They removed the Year of Raven cards from the list, to be playeable after rotation but no AoO cards I supose!

Very nice article Old Guardian! I prefer a paused control style deck than faster aggro/midrange. Hope this decks could see play in top tiers.

I’m reflexing on this card. The full board clear is insane limited to enemy board space. Awaweking it on T4 is a bit tricky and risky if you don’t kill the Wardens the same turn but if you know well the oponent’s deck and don’t have options to play around could be safe..

You can play this on T4 into Rain of Fire (Warlock) this is a 3/6. But the tech for Rez Priest looks promising.

Priest will suffer in card draw mechanic into a value oriented gameplan, buff minions and control-y so will need a hand full of cards to have options to play as a real control-style. Lets see if could generate enough value to win games…

I’m thinking in a crazy combo with Malygos, play 4 mana portal and get a discounted Maly (5 mana) then on T8, play Darkglare (3) + Maly (4) + Rain of Fire (1) for 6 DMG all characters you refresh 2 Mana to fire again with Maly (Soulfire of Breath).

This could go in a Handlock with Valdris, the 6 mana summoner and 2 more big Demons (Riftcleaver or the new 4 mana 12/12). A bit slow anyway, Galakrond seems stronger as of today.
