23 Wild Cards Coming Back to Standard Temporarily, New Portraits For 1000 Wins, More Events, Search & Quest Improvements
Iam totally with Stonekeep here. Developers see it the same way. Its good, but not totally broken. We saw that in Grandmasters, some Druids did beat Priests. I saw a picture of another card game, not sure what it was. Where a similiar card like DS got nerfed to 3 mana. I think that seems really good. But the stats on hsreplay or smth are not true at all. Cause you cant compare all kinds of ranks. If piloted well, Priest seems, if they hit perfect curve, unbeatable. Pro players going 20-0 in High Legend with that deck. Iksar than posting a list with decks, with better winrates than combo priest. And wuuuush, Combo Priest only top 8 decks, got beaten in winrate by a lot. But that feels not true. It just feels bad to lose against and totally insane to win with.
Now they have to decide: do they nerf it for the pro scene? Or do they hit thousands of other players? The deck feels not that good in rank 15 by players with that skill. Just netdecking it cause its “good”.
I play it close to legend right now, and it feels broken if you hit some puzzle practice and style overall.
But the reason why Priest is so strong is just the current meta (in Grand Masters the Shield/Ban system). If new cards hit the pool. All things shake up. The chances are good, that other decks will rise and priest getting an indirect nerf.
Malygos Druid - #4 Legend (Thijs) - Uldum Post-Nerf
Totally agree! The required skill is huge. Once you get used to this archetype you can rock the ranks.
You need good decisions: when to Floop, when to Florist, when to Elise. Really depending on the matchups.
Looks like one of the better lists out there. Love it.
Combo Priest - #10 Legend (Zuhex) - Uldum Post-Nerf
Its by far the best deck right now. Learn it and you get legend easy.
Combo Priest - #10 Legend (Zuhex) - Uldum Post-Nerf
Thats simple. This list is used by everyone right now.
Its really really good. Hit 70% Winrate betweed rank 4 and 1 within 30 games. And iam not that good priest player.
Iam wondering about incoming nerfs to this. Ladder is flooded with priests right now. On EU between rank 5 and 1 almost 25% priests each rank.
Once they hit legend, its only 5%. Iam afraid of possible Hall of Fame cards out of this archetype. You still need lots of practice for this deck and its matchups.
Big Duel Paladin (Saviors of Uldum)
i will face a similiar deck in a tournament today. Whats the plan to beat this? pure aggro?
My lineup will include Combo Priest, Quest Shamy and Quest Druid. How do you feel against these 3?
Big Duel Paladin (Saviors of Uldum)
Why does this counter Shamy? If the Shamy goes wide on board, you dont have any chance. 2 Consecration isnt enough though.
Anka, Miracle Rogue - SOU - isandrg
Too inconsistent version. You really need to pilot your Anka somehow.
To draw her you need to cut all minions below her, and put in double witchwood piper. This way you make your deck more stable. But i didnt try the Auctioneer package with it. Will try to cut all below 5 cost minions, adding more Deathrattles and Taunts, and give it a shot :).
Hearthstone Update – August 26 – Card Balance Updates
Dont be upset bro, numbers still changing. But you right, Mage is falling apart. Dont think its bad, maybe we have to go back to Cyclone or smth. Idk.
Your problem is the reason why iam not a single class player but i totally understand it. And 43.8% is only after one day :).
Saviors of Uldum Post-Nerf Decks - Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes
I am totally with Stonekeep here.
Hunter already the best Class by pure winrate. I do have the same hopeful thought, that quests will shine more. So Druid and Shamy coming to my mind when i think of decks which might get a bit better in winrate. Warrior is the class with less impact, but mage will get hit hard. Hopefully Quest Decks become stronger to face warrior more.
Analysis of the Saviors Of Uldum Nerf Patch (August 26)
My summary:
Hunter untouched, will stay as strongest class.
All Quests going to profite from these nerfs.
Control Warrior still Tier 1.
Only really good Priest Deck getting nerfed (i think its fine.)
Reno Mage will stay strong, Luna will see still play.
The interaction with CC and Galaxy was really strong, this effect is now not as strong as before, but still good.
Mountain Giant untouched.
Token, face, aggro, midrange will profite in any way from that.
Decks like Quest Shami, Token Druid, Face Rogue will highter their winrates.
Prismativ Lense untouched, by rising popularity for aggro maybe, Murloc Pally becomes a bit weaker at some case.
Hunter as class staying on the top by far.
The difference in Winrate from bottom to the top will stay.
Warrior still can handle aggro very well.
Highlander Mage Deck List Guide – Saviors of Uldum – August 2019
its not about the turns. i think galaxy will see a rework!

My prediction: they will only change one attribute on Boom, he will not go into HoF. He is going to 9 mana or the Battlecry will change. Maybe his 7 armor when played gets reduced to not immediately Shield Slam smth.
Dont see any issues with Conjurers Calling itself, maybe going up to 4 mana.
Galaxy will not go to HoF as well, Blizzard loves HoF Standard and Classic. Very rarely Setcards. Galaxy will be reworked cause making it back to 7 or 6 mana will be stupid in my eyes. Cause than we all think bizzard dont know what they are doin. Galaxy is the main problem. Working to well together with Conjurers Calling. Changing the work between “cost reduced minions” and Conjurers will be fix the problem. Cause if you conj a 9 drop, wich you drew for 1 mana, you should get 2 1-Drop instead. That would fix mage well. You still can play high cost minions, but dont making it broken by conj it.
Mountain Giant is still an issue. He will get HoF’ed or changing his Mana costs. At times with Even Warlock in standard, Turn 3 MG was just broken, mage can do that too right now. So i thing MG is a problem too.
Mostly Warrior will get hit by Nerfs. Brawl into HoF or to 6 mana, cause its broken.
Other classes seem fine to me so far. Nothing broken, a lot of you can play around. Cleric on 1 will not make you win a game. You also have to stick a board or draw your combo pieces.
Quick: Boom (mana cost increase), Galaxy (rework/mana cost increase), Conj Calling (seems fine), Mountain Giant and or Brawl (Hall of Fame).

They will fix Boom, HoFing it will not happen. Brawl is kinda a card i can see going into HoF, but than they have to replace it with another/new clear card. So its kind of class identity for Warrior. Brawl for 6 mana should fix that too. Boom needs higher mana cost, and changing the power of its heropowers. giving maybe 5 instead of 7 armor, also when played. idk. HoF Mountain Giant would be great too. The rest seems fine to me. Boom and Galaxy main issues.

Conjurers Calling itself is really well balanced. Maybe going up to 4 Mana. But why is it so strong? I can tell you. Discounting minions from whatever into 1 Drop is srsly the problem, not Conjurer. Cheating out minions, not having original costs is the main problem here! They should make the interaction a bit more different. So if you play Alex for 1 Mana and going to cunjurer it, you summon just the cheated cost. So Alexstrasza for 1 Mana going into 2 1-Drops. But that is nonsense. So Pocket Galaxy to 6 should be fine, and maybe Conj to 4.
Top Standard Legend Decks From Saviors of Uldum - Week 2 (August 2019)
I just say, this is one of the most meta since i play (witchwoood). So much diversity. So many decks you can reach legend with. Hit legend myself with Reno. Nearly 65% WR in over 150 games. And still testing a lot of decks. Putting a lot of effort into building Singleton Decks. Every class have at least one competitive deck to ladder, to climb, or just to have fun with over 50% WR. But i have to say, Warrior and Mage are outstandingly powerful right now. The issue with boom, galaxy, brawl and mountain giant (i think the biggest problems) still remains. I hope blizzard will at least post something what they think about the meta, some kind of FAQ they did last expansions. This will be happen any time soon, i hope! Stonekeep, keep it up!
Best Hearthstone Decks - Standard Meta Tier List - The Great Dark Beyond (November 2024)
First i totally agree with your wish to nerfes to warrior. But i think it will hit Mage too.
You are right saying that nerfing one Card is not enough. I checked some carddata 1 day ago, on highest winrate cards. well… the like top 15 or top 16 highest winrate cards are the complete controlwarrior deck. Dr. Boom to 8 or 9 mana wouldnt be enough though. They need to nerf more stuff, like Rover or Brawl you mentioned. Social media and streamers are talking a lot about Pocket Galaxy back to 7 mana, and Conjurers Calling to 4 mana. I even heard about HoFing the Mountain Giant. I understand with all of These and agree if they would do that. Some Quests can handle Warrior decent now. But lategame wise its nearly impossible.
Iam playing at rank 1 for some days now, and warrior is really out there. Last 2 days around 15-20% of all decks are CW.
Iam not sure by a gamedesign and Balance perspective whats good here. but Luna is the most broken Card. Discounting so many cards by a lot. Its probably one Card and one or two topdecks, winning you every single game. Really sick… but what to do? Galaxy to 6? Conj to 4? Boom to 7/8? Brawl to 6? Would that all help?
Warrior will stay Tier 1, they have to much good stuff, followed by control stuff for each single manaslot. Thats why the 8-drop taunt mech is so good. filling this spot. also as mech with Boom rush. I just hate warrior. annoying to play against.
Zephrys Quest Shaman
It is a 100% absurd, a class without a Singleton Hero, building around that shitty Zephrys!
In a Control Deck like Shamy, you will always need your 2nd copy of your great spells. This Deck will never even go Tier 3!

Saviors of Uldum Expansion Guide! Release Date, Card Spoilers, Pre-Purchase Info, New Mechanics and More!
Yes, if you have 2 Bombs in your deck, its like “2 copys”.
Iam with you. You now cant reroll maybe the day after again to get a 60g out of 50g (if i understand right). So your average income is slightly lower i guess. Needs some maths but i think we are right. But i also see players who may not have the cards to get the quest done, or just not fast enough. Overall i like the change. I dont feel its important if you get 55g per day average a month or 57g if you do it every day. This change will just make people play the quests more and faster. So you can spend more time laddering. Seems fine :).
