Hearthstone Update 14.0 – April 4 – Rise of Shadows
This feels like a decent legendary to be giving out for free! I was experimenting today, and I think there is potential for big priest in wild. Namely combos such as spellstone hitting archmage and whatever else, then trigging a second time at end of turn, seems really cool! Also, just the rare chance that shadow essence pulls off ridiculous stuff by getting a 5/5 archmage and an additional 5/5 for 6 mana.
Really excited for this set! Looks like good card quality, some interesting blizzard chosen deck themes (looks better then freeze shaman…but what wasn’t?)
Plot Twist
Handlock didn’t always have a gen greymane to back it up, and it used to work just fine
Cubelock was a variant of handlock, albeit revolving around filling your hand to abuse skull of manarai, and it did very well (video on YouTube entitled cubelocks and catacombs)
I understand your thoughts that this is a net loss of 1 card, so it may not be played as much as some think, however it does give you fresh new options, and nearly eliminates fatigue for only 2 card slots (at a minimum)
Maybe it won’t be busted, but it certainly won’t be horrible, even if I have to make it happen myself
It is worth noting that warlock does lose some nice removal with this set, but potential is very real
Plot Twist
This was all good till you blasphemed wheeling in mtg, wheel effects have always been used in Moreno powerful formats (vintage, legacy) because it refreshes your hand for very low mana, giving you access to a bunch of new cards, and helps refilling a hand to use force of will and the like.
Windfall is banned and legacy, and restricted in vintage, and effects both players
Timetwister is $500 collectors edition, and is one of the power nine
Sure, wheeling might not be nearly as good in hearthstone, but it could be the next UI or patches or something, you never know
Don’t judge it till you try it, all I’m saying
Tavern Brawl Duel of the Death Knights
The only strategy that kind of works anti mage is Palladin, you just keep hero powering and hammer out any threats the images player before they die, and hope you get lucky and can protect one of your death knights. If you can get three on the board most people concede as the random decks don’t have very good cards
That being said, I only got about 50% against mages, sometimes they just got removal and I could never apply expedia pressure again
Digging into Boomsday Arena (12.0) – Strategies, Tips & Tricks for Power Level Picks
Buckets are Hearthstone’s way of organizing your card option in arena.
Each bucket is a tier, with the first bucket being very good cards, the next bucket being slightly worse, and so on and so on, till you get to the bottom buckets with will have generally horrible cards.
When you draft in arena, you are given the choice of three random cards from the same bucket, meaning all choices of each selection will be of similar quality!
Hope this helps explain it!
Dr. Morrigan
Well, this seems absolutely horrible.
It’s madam Goya 2.0, except it’s somehow worse because it costs 8 and you can’t really choose who to switch, an it’s warlock.
Warlock did get the soularium though, so it isn’t really being hated that much, and it has been very broken in the past couple months.
The best thing about this card is that, if you get it as a golden, you can scrap it to choose something nicer
Taverns of Time Arena Event: 28 Exclusive Arena Cards List!
Although i agree that deck manipulation is a powerful mechanic, especially in magic where decks like lantern control live to control your opponents draws, I personally do not feel it would be as bad in Hearthstone, at least, not with these arena cards.
Admittedly, if they make cards that let your organize and sort your deck in Hearthstone, it could become very bad very fast with combo or burn decks.
However, the current cards make you choose from random cards not in your deck to place on top. This makes it more luck based, and while not necessarily weaker, much harder to ‘break’ and activate stupid combos with!
Just my opinion though, I personally kind of like the mechanic idea but I guess I will get of find out once the event is live!
Balance Changes Planned for After HCT Playoffs (End of May)
Well, I am equally happy and horribly depressed…
I just crafted Sunkeeper, call to arms, and I recently crafted the final touches for cubelock
However, maybe taunt druid will become stronger, as it is my favorite current deck, and that would cheer me up from these nerfs!
Can’t say I would miss cubelock or call to arms pally, they are really painful to fight against and make up a ton of the current meta, so ranked can seem a little stale sometimes
All in all, yay for nerfs! Yay for hadronax! Yay for janky taunt swarms! And yay to the end of half a dozen doomguards!
Mind Blast Priest ft. Vivid Leeroy (Rank 5-2, 76%)
This deck looks really fun! I’ve been trying to make a ladder priest for a while and this looks like it would work well!
Also, thanks for taking the time to write an in depth description, it seems that’s really unde done outside of decks made by the website creators!
Great job, cool deck!

Awesome, thanks for the advice!
Death knights always seem more fun as well, so I guess that’s and additional plus!
Spiteful Druid Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
So, I wanted to try to build this deck. I don’t have leroy or malfurion, but I do have The Lich King and 1600 dust. So, who should I craft? Leroy or malfurion, not just for this deck but in general as well!
Thanks in advance for any advice!

And the raptor combo, is simply using either baleful banker or dire frenzy to shuffle carnassa into your deck and make lots of factors, then buffing the raptor with shaw and toximonger!

Hey, tess seems like they will be super fun!
I mean, a little difficult to build around, but they recast everything, both minions and spells!
Congratulations on getting them, and be happy you didn’t get duskfallen avian, it could always be worse (unless you get aviana)!

Hey Hearthstone top deck/Hearthead (hope I’m getting that right!) Community!
I just wanted to wish everyone as happy watchword release and good luck in your packs!
I want to know what all people have been getting, so please comment your random class legendary or what you are excited for this expansion!
Personally, I got Lord Godfrey which made beyond happy as a warlock player!
Once more, happy expansion release to one and all! Merry Monster hunt! (Even if that won’t be out for two more weeks!)
Luckily, us warlocks are prepared for this, and have a way out
Hecklebot deals with a mere singular minion from a deck, where as a handy void contract will delete 9 cards on average assuming your opponent doesn’t draw any additional cards
So, at the small price of half of our deck and potentially our own archivist, which would likely lose us the game as warlock doesn’t have much control in the current meta, we have a higher chance at removing their archivist then with hecklebot
Truly a foolproof strategy, clearly Contract lock with plot twist to dig for your archivist will be the meta and nothing will ever go wrong
