This thing is awesome IMHO…
Sure it has some RNG, but you will most likely get at least one thing you want, and there isn’t a ton of competition at the 7 drop spot.
You can get a mini soggoth out of this!
Mimic Pod
This compares to arcane intellect…
arcane gets two cards you know you want (as you put them in your deck) and thins your deck (which could be good as it increases your chances of getting other cards you want for specific situations.
This gets the same card to mana value as arcane, but doesn’t thin your deck as much, decreasing the chances of drawing in to solutions when needed. However it does play in to the mechanic that rogue seems to now want to take advantage of which is to play multiple copies, so this would be considered a positive.
Overall, a well designed card.
I hope the meta allows more decks that focus on what they want to do rather than stopping your opponent can exist… it seems this is what they are pushing for!

This card is for ferryman and shadowstep…maybe even some brewing to be happening! too bad gang up is gone! could be abused in wild though!

This card is awesome. Love that it helps push to a midrange meta.
I’m glad they did not give it the ‘elemental’ tag. This means there has to be at least a little bit of thought as to the order of when to play things.
If every element played had huge benefits, it would create a deckbuilding style that would be mindless.
Primalfin Lookout
This card’s ability is good, and helps solve a previous mrgl problem of running out of steam fast. The bigger problem is there really isn’t many 1 and 2 drop mrgls that stick to the board in most matchups. Also, as part of your board, this has horrible stats.
Even with the new quest, I’m not sure if this can be a valid archetype while jade is around, let alone what elementals will bring…
Perhaps this card could be played in a more midrange style (compare to kabal courier). I’m noticing so far that many of the cards enforce a more midrange style of play, and am really hoping for that!!!

There’s no way you get this guy out by turn 5…
You will always be playing him with a few extra mana, meaning you can drop another small murloc to avoid the draw loss.

The portal is an “enchantment”, not a minion…. I’d assume it would not be copyable or count towards a minion count…
i’m curious to know if it takes up a minion spot, or if it will just be off to the side of the game board

I feel like they are trying to make the meta more midrange, and disco lock is certainly getting pushed there with the cards they’ve posted.
I hope the meta shifts to be variable rather than all out face or all out control
Dinosize
It doesn’t require a charge minion… just any minion that is already on the board is fine.
I think this gives Pally midrange a bit of burst potential, and with the recruits available, it’s not as dead of a card late game like the other pally pump cards.
It’s still not great, just situational and deck dependant

If you are playing against rogue and they have auctioneer set up while playing 3-4 cards a turn, you should have already hit concede.
This card might be relevant in that style deck in some very long drawn out matchups… but as an epic, it won’t be worth my dust.
I’ve been running a token hunter deck (posted on here… had lots of up votes) and i think the archetype of draw hunter is totally viable. I ran in this poisonous meta to rank 5 playing casually. It’s doable!!! bring back hunter!!!
