Tavern Brawl Disabled Until Tomorrow (November 14th), Will Return as a Different Brawl
This Brawl was an awesome idea, literally the most excited I’ve been about anything BLIZZARD in months…and they can’t even get it right and have to take it down within HOURS. Really disappointed, to the point of playing other games more often than not. That Brawliseum actual brought me back in, but now…I dunno…
Reno Mage (Teched for the Doom Meta)
The mossy horror is awesome against aggro like shaman, the doll is in there for problem minions that are hard to remove like Rag. But you’re right about the tortollan pilgrim, i am going to cut him, any suggestions on what to put in???
N'Zoth Highlander Mage - Uldum Doom Rank 5
I like this. There are lots of these sprouting up now, I just finished tweaking a version myself and I gotta say…for THIS meta, it’s doing really well. Check out the one I just posted and let me know what you think…
Old Guardian's Overload Evolve Shaman theorycraft
I dunno. Isn’t there a way to KEEP Mutate in here too? And former champ?
Highlander Quest Hunter - #193 Legend (Nickolias) - Uldum Post-Nerf
So, after playtesting this, I was totally wrong. Fireworks Tech IS FANTASTIC in this deck. High Inquisitor Whitemane still goes in here though, use this list but cut Dire Wolf Alpha to put in Whitemane.
Highlander Quest Hunter - #193 Legend (Nickolias) - Uldum Post-Nerf
I have a VERY similar deck. Fireworks Tech is not really FANTASTIC here. I wanted more late game opportunity against things like Quest Druid and Control Warrior, so instead I use High Inquisitor Whitemane. There are a couple other different cards in mine as well, I will post later as I am at work at the moment. This is a REALLY great deck for the current Meta though.
Combo Priest - #10 Legend (Zuhex) - Uldum Post-Nerf
Extra Arms is just a bit too slow now. Because of the synergy with Bwonsamdi and the Clerics, running one copy of Potion Vendor is an amazing switch. It thins out the deck just that much faster with Bwonsamdi, it’s a fast mass healing one drop, and there’s really no down side. I have seen SOME decks running two Potion Vendors, but then something vital needs to be cut. The Acolyte of Pain seems to be everyone’s choice for that cut, but after playtesting a LOT, I found that one of each seems to be the most beneficial to this deck over all.
One Holy Ripple
I would replace both the Ripple and the Extra Arms, and here is why. Holy Ripple is great for Murlocs, but the pyromancer is already there for that. And Extra Arms is just a bit too slow. Card draw is essential, so at least one Acolyte of Pain would be highly beneficial. The other spot (the ripple spot, is best filled with a Potion Vendor due to it’s synergy with Bwonsamdi and your Clerics. This helps thin out your deck to get to your combo, and it still provides the mass heal that comes with your Holy Ripple. Let me know what you think.
Combo Priest
After play testing 3 different versions of this deck…a LOT…this one has the highest win percentage (almost). I found that because of it’s synergy with Bwonsamdi… if you switch out that one Extra Arms for a Potion Vendor…your win percentage goes up just a bit. Two is too many though, because you’d have to drop your Acolyte of Pain, or something else vital, in order to have room. The extra arms is all you can legitimately drop, and the Vendor works amazing in that slot.
Highlander rogue 72% winrate!
This deck is definitely getting ladder play since this post. I ran into it against two different players last night while I was using a Highlander Hunter deck. I won both times on turn 8, but I could see how it could pose issues for most of the field. It had already started to swing tempo its way and if I didn’t run Leeroy in my HH deck…I wouldn’t have been able to do enough damage quickly enough to recover. I might actually build this. Great Job.
Midrange Hunter - #7 Legend (SirVILGAUDAS) - Uldum Post-Nerf
No. It’s not. I am strictly a Hunter player and Mid-range is my favorite to play, but it simply cannot survive in the current meta. I would recommend it as a good starter deck that can move you up the ladder to about Rank 15, but from there the player will need to switch to something a bit more heavy. I play-test many different hunter decks, and can tell you that while Bomb Hunter is very reliable…Highlander Hunter is simply in a league of its own when it comes to winrate. Granted, one needs to know how to play Highlander, and make confident decisions with such a deck with ever-changing gameplay.
Immediately made me think of the green Mtg card Maro, theyre really nothing alike…just similar sounding and looking I guess. That being said, Maro was WAY better
