Yogg-Saron, Hope's End
100% agree. I could really see Yogg fitting into a spell-heavy control deck. He could outright lose you some games, but as long as he wins you more games than he loses, you’ll keep climbing the ol’ ladder…
Spreading Madness
Right. And Piloted Shredder is a garbage minion because it always drops Doomsayers that destroy your own board.
From a statistics standpoint, a big sequence of random events is actually MORE predictable than one random event. Nine hits is enough that it’s VERY unlikely to be lopsided–for example, the chances that all nine hits would go to the same target is 0.00005%. That’s roughly one in two million odds.
You obviously can’t 100% count on it to do what you want, but it’s more reliable than you might think.
I think this card would get a lot of value against midrange decks (if you can avoid the burst for 9 turns) but he’s too slow to do anything against aggro/tempo, and he won’t trade well other late-game minions.
Having messed around with Arcane Nullifier in some decks, I can say that untargetability is very strong. Yes, it can still get hit by battlecries, but that still makes him way harder to remove.
So, upside: hard to remove without trading. Will probably take down 2-3 midrange minions.
Downside: doesn’t trade that well against other late-game minions.
