Xyrella, the Devout
Cool card, but also a bit bizarre. I’m unsure if it will really help Priest with their hardest matchups (Mage & Warlock), although it can have a reno-like effect.
Balinda Stonehearth
Assuming you’re running strictly big spells, this can be a 6 mana 8/10 that draws and discounts two big spells to 5 mana. Great mana cheating card.
Iceblood Tower
Perfect with Clumsy Courier, assuming this card can’t be stacked with Greysage Parrot.
Spring the Trap
Assuming you never draw a single secret, between this and the Bunker card, you’d need at LEAST 10 secrets in your deck. That’s 1/3 of your deck… Tavish’s hero card better have some serious secret synergy.
Spring the Trap is very comparable to Flanking Strike. Instead of a 3/3 body no matter what, you get one or two secrets. I think you really need to trigger Honorable Kill consistently to justify running this card.
Najak Hexxen
Even if this isn’t run, it gives Call of the Grave more reason to be run. This can be decent to take control of a big taunt minion or a minion with rush.
Bru'kan of the Elements
I think this might be 1 mana too slow to see play. The hero power is great value but 8 mana is a lot.
Duke’s Boar Rogue #FIA
Snowfall Graveyard won’t speed up Boar’s effect, it’ll just have you equip two swords of truths when the condition is met.
Lightforged Cariel
Love the flavor and it seems pretty terrifying. Battlecry is just DK Rexxar’s for 1 more mana, which is great for dealing with wide boards that would be able to circumvent most of the damage potential lost by the shield.
Who needs card draw when you can make Mr. Smite a 30/29 minion over the course of 6 turns? Shield definitely gives Paladin sustain especially if used with Libram of Hope.
Tamsin's Phylactery
Interesting card.. Try running this in an imp swarm deck and given your imps Nerubian Egg deathrattles. Or that 8 mana demon that summons the 5/5 w/Lifesteal. This card seems very neat. Me likey.
Snowball Fight!
Yet again, Blizzard doesn’t consider the devastating implications new cards have in wild smh
Lokholar the Ice Lord
Seems like an off-meta card that I’m absolutely going to try and make work. In Big Warrior you can regain some tempo, and it doesn’t feel as bad to draw this minion compared to the others given its discount effect.
Capture Coldtooth Mine
It’s unfortunate this card isn’t restricted to minions, as that would have some truly insane potential.
“Draw your highest cost card” has a similar effect to Taelan Fordring for just 2 mana, which is quite strong.
“Draw your lowest cost card” doesn’t seem all that good. Maybe there will be a 1 mana win condition to make this effect good, but Ivus doesn’t cut it. You might just draw Lightning Bloom or the other Captured Coldtooth Mine.
Regardless, I’m interested to see what shenanigans people come up with.
Shadowcrafter Scabbs
Problem with cards like Twisting Nether, Vanish, and Plague of Death is that you’re still behind on Tempo. This card is Vanish for 1 more mana, gives you 5 armor, gives you some stats w/stealth synergizes, and you can immediately use the hero power to cheat something out that’s 2 or less mana. 5/5, insane card.
Snowed In
Freeze Warrior is a thing, wow.
Have to destroy a damage minion to use the effect, but it can be an extremely powerful stall tool for Warrior.
I dig it.
Ivus, the Forest Lord
I don’t think this card is very good. The payoff at 10 mana is a 13/13 with DS, Taunt, and Rush. The strength of this card is its flexibility, but the effect is far too random.
Sometimes at 4 mana it’ll be a 7/7, other times it’ll be a 4 mana 1/1 with DS, Taunt, and Rush. At 2 mana it can be a 3/3, or a 1/1 or Taunt. So to nearly guarantee a non-garbage roll, you have to play this in the late game, but I think most classes can achieve a big pile of stats much faster than turn 10 (Paladin Parrot, Celestial Alignment Druid, etc).
Phenomenal card that’s strong enough to be used outside of token decks. Great reach in the late game and great for taking back the board.
