(Live Now) Hearthstone 25.0.4 Patch Notes - Death Knight Buffs, Nerfs to Renathal, DH, Druid, Priest, Rogue & Warlock, Battlegrounds & Arena Updates
Renathal was due and this doesn’t kill the XL format. Reno decks will still happily play him in Wild and I still see him plenty on the ladder.
Hearthstone World Championship 2022 Guide, Two Free Packs From YouTube Drops, December 16-18
look on the bright side, Death Knight. At least you’re not Warrior right now.
Best March of the Lich King Decks from Week 1
Poor Warrior. I feel the whole “Fire Warrior” idea seems to be setting up archetypes for future expansions – both the Legendaries this cycle don’t really fit the Enrage plan. Enrage Warrior is barely 50% right now.
Wait, Is Death Knight Even Good? The Best Death Knight Decks in Early March of the Lich King Meta
Have to agree with all of this. The class just feels like it comes up short and definitely doesn’t have those “OH MY GOD” turns – although Lord Marrowgar is SCARY when you set it up right. But like you said, Unholy is SLOW. (And shouldn’t that Stitched Giant *seem* like it should be depending on Undead summoned vs. corpses spent?)
To me, it seems like instead of going brute force power like they did with Demon Hunter to make people play the class, they went for variety in building the class instead. It’s cool and novel to be sure, but the class identity just feels… slow. It’s like they went in a lot of different directions but didn’t hone any to perfection.
Patchwerk
Fun fact. This card is CORE SET for Death Knight. Hope you’re ready to play around it.
Shadow of Demise
RIGHT??
The Coin + Shadow of Demise + Necrolord Draka = 4/3 + 3/3 weapon for 4 mana. And with Edwin? it’s just nuts.
September Patch Still In Plans, Devs Talking About Many Nerfs + Buffs, Probably Including Wild Changes
Honestly it should be 12. All the other Giants are, but as someone said earlier, it could likely be Crystallizer.
21.2 Patch Notes - Nerfs to Stealer of Souls & Flesh Giant, Battlegrounds Revamp, Mercenaries Pre-Purchase, Book of Mercenaries Tamsin
Yeah Stealer going up two mana will really slow that wincon down but Flesh Giant laughs at this nerf. I was expecting them to up the damage required by one for each questline step, but…. Eh, Blizzard’s gonna Blizzard i guess.
Two Warlock Balance Changes Coming Next Week (August 31), Potentially More Later in September
I think it will be Stealer and the Flesh Giant. The Giant should be 12 like any other giant. As said before, it sucks losing to the Stealer. But Shaman’s power creep is likely to be of concern. It was highly played at Silvermoon.

They have been playing it “safe” with nerfs – but i agree with you. I think Stealer is the big culprit that makes those non-interactive combos possible. If they reduce the Lifesteal that Warlock gets, it would force them to not rush the combo as well.

Hunter is doing well because the Quest decks are greedy and Hunter can go face before they finish the combos. Honestly Hunter might be ok. Warlock is largely targeted because of the hate against then right now. People don’t hate on Hunter as hard (and honestly, when i lose against a Face Hunter, i don’t feel screwed.)
Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks - United in Stormwind Week 3 - August 2021
Warlock’s Quest has been oppressive in both Standard AND Wild. Anxious to see what they do about it.
As for Anacondra, I think its surge in use was because of Muzzy winning surprise matches with it at GM this past week or two. Mind you for those who watched, the deck can very much be feast or famine.

I had it when i logged on later today. Must have rolled in quietly as a hotfix? Either way if you don’t have it yet, check now!

Yeah me neither. Patch the patch?

Hooray! I was wondering about that.
Special note for new players: the “pity” counter for Legendaries works on Standard packs like this. So if you haven’t got a legend in your first ten of these, may want to save it for this one. Worth the dust even if its crap.
21.0.3 Balance Update - Eight Constructed Card Nerfs + Five Battlegrounds Hero Buffs - Coming Tomorrow (August 17)
From what I watched at GMs, Mage and Warlock are way over-represented. And the DH combo was just dumb. Take that Questline Hunter to Wild – it’s working well there.
21.0.3 Balance Update - Eight Constructed Card Nerfs + Five Battlegrounds Hero Buffs - Coming Tomorrow (August 17)
Handbuff Paladin is strong but it’s the burst damage that wins game. Conviction would often be a one mana fireball and Battlemaster also sealed games allowing this deck to go off by doubling attacks. One mana – or one turn rather – is often the difference between winning and losing. Time will tell though.
21.0.3 Balance Update - Eight Constructed Card Nerfs + Five Battlegrounds Hero Buffs - Coming Tomorrow (August 17)
Good nerfs. Didn’t think they would touch the quest. That Ilgynoth combo sucks to lose to so good riddance. All these nerfs are good. Like said earlier, not sure about the Granite Forgeborn nerf. Surprised they didn’t up his mana cost by 1.
Playing Undead Death Knight and wow – those little bumps make a difference. For instance: Corpse Bride. Getting to drop a 5/5 with a 10/10 then follow with a FREE Corpse Giant is the kind of explosion turn that DK really needed.
However, Meat Wagon seems pointless. Who risks slashing a Lord Marrowgar just for three corpses? They should have made it “Discover a minion in your deck and destroy it: gain three Corpses.”
