You Can Now Host Private Fireside Gathering To Open Pre-Purchase Packs Early And Play Two Brawls!

As a part of the pre-release event, players are able to host Fireside Gatherings in order to open their Forged in the Barrens packs early, as well as access two Tavern Brawls letting them play around with them. Of course, because of the current global situation, only private Fireside Gatherings are possible – but it still means that you can open packs and possibly play a few matches with your friends and family in your home.

Here’s the official description of the two available Tavern Brawls:

In the Forged in the Barrens No Cards Barred! Brawl, you’ll be able to construct decks using the cards that you open during the Pre-Release event. There are no restrictions on class or duplicates, so go crazy!

We’ve also got A Recipe for Tenacity, a pre-constructed Brawl that will include new deck recipes from the upcoming set for you to play with. You won’t need to have pre-purchased packs to play this Brawl.

Pre-release event lasts over the weekend and into the Monday, all the way until March 29th at 10 AM PT (19:00 CET). You can create your private Fireside Gatherings on the official website.

Will there be a full Forged in the Barrens card review ? I’m really looking forward to it!

Sorry, but this time around I don’t have time to do card reviews. Reveal season was very short and we just got Classic format released (and I need to add almost 400 Classic cards to the database), card nerf reverts, a new Duels patch, spell schools on 600+ older cards etc. There’s so much work I need to do that card reviews are simply impossible to fit in.

I’m writing an article with my picks for most interesting cards from Forged in the Barrens, though – it will be out on Monday.

I still can’t agree with this thing. I don’t know why would anyone get a special privilage to open up bundle earlier than the rest of people. AFAIK, even if you open the packs later on 30th, you can still host the private brawls anyway.

But why don’t you agree? It’s not unfair when everyone can do it. Plus it’s just pack openings, it’s not a big deal :p
