A new bundle just appeared in the shop to commemorate last Standard year (which ended just 2 weeks ago).
For $29.99, you can get:
- 10x Rise of Shadows Card Pack
- 10x Saviors of Uldum Card Pack
- 10x Descent of Dragons Card Pack
- 15x Year of the Dragon Card Pack
Year of the Dragon packs is a relatively new type of pack (it was present in a few bundles already) which can include card from any Year of the Dragon (2019) expansion.
Given that those expansions contain A LOT of powerful cards and they won’t rotate out for another year, it’s frankly a pretty good deal. Of course packs from the latest Standard year are always best, but since those come at a solid discount, it’s great if you’re missing some key cards from last year’s sets (especially now with no duplicate rule across all rarities).
got three new legenday and one of them golden, so that was neat.
I stoped playng for more than 6 months so thats a good bundle for me, i miss a lot of Dragons Descend important cards…
Do the Year of the Dragon packs have the same guaranteed legendary in the first 10 packs as regular sets?
I’m afraid that I don’t know 🙁 Haven’t bought the previous bundles including it so can’t confirm.
I’ll let you know if I find some information about it, though.
Apparently not. I did not get any legendary out of all 15 packs…
Pretty much what I expected.
But did you buy the other Dragon Pack Bundle several months ago or were those your first Dragon Packs??
What is no duplicate rule across all rarities? I still get cards to dust?

tl;dr: Just like previously with Legendaries, you can no longer open duplicates of any rarity UNTIL you have all of the cards from that rarity. E.g. when you collect all commons, you start opening duplicates once again.
Stonekeep i have notice that it’s not entirely correct. I have all the rare fo AoO and i dust the imprisoned demon of DH because give you full refound, then make arena, open the pack and dust him again & again. It works the first day but now they give me other rare though i have 0 copy on my collection.
It is wanted as a thing? Maybe to avoid this exploit? I don’t know
It’s explained in the article I’ve linked – in the comment above i only gave the outline of the new system.
Yes, this is intentional. Cards you disenchant count as owned cards. Yes, it’s most likely to prevent the exploit of opening the nerfed card over and over again and dusting it for full cost. But it also has an upside – you can now disenchant a bad Epic / Legendary and you don’t have to worry about opening it again.
