If you played Wild format over the last few days, you’ve probably faced the combo a few times… okay, more like 90% of the time. The newly released Hysteria has made one of the older, previously useless cards quite broken.
And if you haven’t seen it yet, the combo goes like this. You first drop Wretched Tiller, give it Immune with Deathspeaker, then force it to attack random minions until it dies with Hysteria… but instead of dying, it keeps plowing your opponent’s face until everything else dies. Of course – having enough minions on the board to kill your opponent made everything easier, but you didn’t even have to rely on that. Priest could just turn Tiller into a 0 attack minion with Shrinkmeister, while Warlock could play a second Deathspeaker to give another minion (such as the first Deathspeaker) immune and thus make Tiller attack it forever (or well, at least 30 times, as that appears to be Hysteria’s limit).
If you hated the combo right from the start – good news, Game Designer Dean “Iksar” Ayala just announced on Twitter that they’ll be changing the interaction next week. And if you love the combo (you degenerate!), then you still have a few more days to enjoy it.
Looking to get a change out for the Tiller/Hysteria interaction sometime next week. Hope this farmer enjoys his time in the sun while it lasts! pic.twitter.com/usVDb9RfQ7

Repair MarkMCMark’s = MarkMcKz
” And if you love the combo (you degenerate!), then you still have a few more days to enjoy it. “Am I is DEGENERATE ???? The BLIZZARD is DEGENERATE !!! Why not test new card ??? ( Hysteria ) If the Blizzard can’t be able TEST new card(s), then send ALL new card(s) for example MarkMCMark’s, before edition the new card(s) !!!! Fuck ! ( Sorry, my english very poor, but my poison very BIG 🙂 )
That was a joke.
The change is obvious just make it so you can’t cast on an immune minion & move on…..pretty sure they forgot immune was a thing when they made hysteria.
Next week? What am I supposed to do until then? Play Standard? Ugh…
Thank goodness!!! Hahaha, first time someone tried it on me and they miscalculated so was 1 short but otherwise it does me in every time.
My gut tells me it’ll be a NERF it into Oblivion type scenario where they make it so his first attack deals 2 damage to the player
One way to nerf this in an interesting way it to make the thriller a 5 mana 4/4 deal 4 when he attack
Since the problem is the combo is too easy to pull of, so upping the mana of the thriller make having a thaurissan mandatory (with multiple proc)
I really do not understand how Pint size Potion hasn’t caught on yet, it makes the priest list far better.
Isn’t Pint Size Potion only for enemy minions?
Yeah, but it doesn’t matter b/c you keep a clean board.
The problem are 4+ attack minions. Combo is useless if your opponent has one, since they won’t drop down to 0 attack.
You need them to have 15+ minion health but no 4+ attack minion. It’s cheaper and sometimes works better, but it’s also way more situational.
Apathy Potion or Multipotion solves this easily.. And for health if they don’t commit board you have time to drop a doomsayer.
Yeah, but at that point the combo is not really easier than the one with Deathspeaker 🙂
Maybe you could try running both in the same deck list for redundancy, I don’t know. I’ve played around with the combo for a bit, but got bored of the decks quite quickly (especially since I faced other Tiller decks like 80% of the time).
The card count is higher but the card quality is good and palm reading discounts it *much* better. Possible turn 3 vs aggro druid on the coin.
