A new bundle is now available in the game shop (it’s not available through Battle.net shop yet), this time targeted at Wild players.
For $15 (or 15€) you can get 3 packs from each Wild set (including Classic):
- 3x Classic Card Pack
- 3x Goblins vs Gnomes Card Pack
- 3x The Grand Tournament Card Pack
- 3x Whispers of the Old Gods Card Pack
- 3x Mean Streets of Gadgetzan Card Pack
- 3x Journey to Un’Goro Card Pack
- 3x Knights of the Frozen Throne Card Pack
- 3x Kobolds & Catacombs Card Pack
$15 for 24 packs = $0.625 per pack, which is a pretty sweet deal. The downside for many is that it only includes packs from Wild expansions, so if you aren’t playing that mode too much it might not be worth it. But it’s still a way better deal than Mage Bundle…
In Brazil this bundle is being sold for R$ 28,00 (28 REAIS), what is worth US$ 6. So, if you can buy this in brazilian store…
I hope the moment in which these kind of offerts can be purchased with gold…
If you dust all cards in the worst case is 960 dust so not a good idea if you mainly play standard..
You’re right about the worst case scenario, but looking at averages is a better idea. On average, one pack is around 100 Dust (not 40 Dust), so this bundle should be ~2400 Dust.
But yes, I agree that it’s not worth to buy just for the Dust 🙂
Why isn´t worth to buy just for the dust? initially I consider buying this bundle for the dust to craft the next cards that will going to the hall of fame, please explain me.
It depends how you look at it. In terms of dust for real money then it’s probably (?) the best deal, certainly better than buying normal packs.
However buying packs/bundles from sets that you don’t play ‘just’ for dust is an expensive way of playing HS. You’re probably better off saving and getting the bundle for the next expansion which will get you new cards you may want to use as well as dust for duplicates.
Because it’s still better to buy packs from the upcoming expansion instead (or one of this year’s expansion if you’re missing some cards from them), this way they will have a very high chance to contain playable cards, which are more valuable than Dust. E.g. opening a good Legendary is worth 1.6k Dust and not 400 Dust like disenchanting one you certainly won’t be playing. Even Commons (with diminishing returns, of course, because you get all of them pretty quickly) – opening a good one that you will use is worth 40 Dust instead of 5.
Of course, if money is not a concern, then one can still do it. But there are better deals to buy – such as new expansion’s pre-order. This way bundle will be more expensive per pack, but it will also hold a much higher value.
That’s why I would buy this specific bundle in two situations. 1. I play Wild or want to play Wild and don’t have many cards from those sets. 2. I have a lot of disposable income and I don’t really care about $15 and want to open some old packs.
Thanks dudes for the reply, i have a better idea about the purchase now
Meagerness or decadence … the driving forces of our society. 😉
Bueno, compré el paquete y no me fue mal, dos legendarios, al menos diez epopeyas, algunos comunes de oro y raros. por cierto juego salvaje con mago secreto y mech palladin, estaba buscando mal ganis y parches 🙁
Well, I bought the bundle and it didn’t go wrong, two legendary, at least ten epics, some golden common and rare. BTW i play wild with secret mage and mech palladin, I was looking bad ganis and patches ????
