WalterEgo's Self Harm Whirlwind Warrior
I really appreciate the in-depth reply! I’ll start by crafting Zola (I agree on it not being worth it to craft Woecleaver) and play around with it a bit. I’ll let you know the results and some tweaks I’ve made.
I do like the idea of not having all 4 Genesis/Faceless, but I think the swing potential from having a turn 10 Faceless/Sudden Genesis into *another* Sudden Genesis is normally enough to end the game, as it gives you 4 copies of whatever you “manipulated,” so I may want to hold onto 3 of the 4 to increase the chances of that.
I’ve had some great synergy with the animated, especially in the games where I can drop animated –> armorsmith –> acolyte, but for some reason the animated becomes a quick target. Right now I don’t think I have any copies of reckless flurry or brawl, so I’ll to craft one or both to test them out as well.
Thanks!

So this is what I’ve been using lately, to some success:
http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/walteregos-self-harm-whirlwind-warrior/
It’s still really not quite there though. I find myself in a few situations where I essentially have no choice but to concede. If the opponent does a good job of killing gunspire, rotface, and grommash, there’s essentially nothing you can to do to win unless you get lucky with a faceless copy of some crazy huge monster they have and manage to execute theirs. Also if they’ve got more than a few big bodies on the board, unless you get lucky with a rotface proc this deck has no taunt whatsoever, so it can leave you in a bit of a pinch.
I wonder if Woecleaver would have a place in this deck? One of the hardest things to pull off is keeping a body on the board long enough to clone, if you could get it out with the wep then you could WW and sudden genesis/faceless on the same turn, which could be HUGE for pulling off combos.
I’ve tried Death Revenant but found I was clearing the board too much to make the 5 cost actually worth it, might throw frothing berserker back in because it tends to draw attention pretty quickly, but almost every time I had one out and got him boosted, they would trade some low cost 2/1 to take out the buffed 11/1 before I could even attack with him. Basically they were getting the better end of the trade every time with that card.
Other’s I’ve tried/considered and commanding shout and dead man’s hand, but probably won’t use the latter because the main issue is drawing the necessary cards for a combo, and while some of the others can help it’ll just lower the chances of getting what you need.
I’d be really interested in getting this deck to work though, so if you want to team up in playtesting it I’d be down.

That’s the problem I’ve had with it, I’ve included Animated Berserker and Frothing Berserker to help bridge the gap into the late game.
Had a game against a cube lock last night where I Sudden Genesis’d the guntower, then echoed Warpath 5 times the next turn to clear the board and get lethal. Should’ve taken a video, because this deck is fun as hell when it clicks.

I’ve been toying with a deck like this as well but lack the cards and dust to fully flesh it out. What are your thoughts on Animated Corrupter? 1 for a 1/3 that triggers all of your “take damage” effects as soon as the other minion is summoned.
I’ve also got frothing berserkers for some early game high attack monsters, but I struggle with some board clear.
Either way, I’d love to make a deck like this work. The idea of getting minions on the board then blasting everything with warpath of WW and having all these effects trigger seems like so much fun.
Zetalot's #64 Legend Control Dragon Priest (March 2018)
I really want to build a control/dragon priest deck, and already have a handful of the necessary cards. I got Prophet Velen in one of my first packs and have wanted to use him in a deck for a while now.
That being said, I have enough dust for 1 legendary, which should I get for a deck similar to this? I see Shadowreaper is run in the majority of them, as is Alex, but I’ve also seen a few with Ysera. Should I pick up Shadowreaper, because it’s used in several priest decks and is frankly awesome? Or one of the classic cards that I won’t need to worry about leaving standard?
Thanks
Hey again, wanted to see what kind of success you had last season – how high did you climb with this? I’m still messing around a bit, picked up a Zola and even considered using the 3/3 that destroys weps in place for one of the faceless just for cube, but it sat unused in my hand too often.
I plan on using this deck exclusively for ladder this season just to see how high I can make it. Still need to add the brawl, you’re a strong advocate for it so I need to test it out.
