Top Standard Legend Decks From Ashes of Outland - Week 3 - April 2020
Jesus, those high legend decks grind my gears 😛 I’ve had the final boss fight three times this month, always Illidan, always a loss XD
Hate the grind, but I really need to hit that legend at least once in my life :C
17.0.2 Balance Patch is now Live!
I’m thinking about that as well. I was playing Zoolock at D1, grazed legend twice. But now it’s gonna be tricky, because Galakrond Lock kept DH’s at bay. Now, even after nerfs, DH is still strong and there’s nothing in the meta to keep it down. I’m really looking forward to those Control-ish Warrior decks, as they might hit a sweet spot – Aggro/Mid DH decks, Tempo Rogues and Zoolocks might populate D1 meta.
But damn, they nerfed DH in a patch that subsequently will make DH more popular…
Nerf Patch Early Next Week - Battlefiend, Altruis, Glaivebound Adept, Kael'Thas, Bad Luck Albatross, Frenzied Felwing, Sac Pact, Open the Waygate and Bloodbloom
As for DH, it depends on the matchup. When playing Galakrond Warlock, Mid DH seems stronger, but the decks that actually kill me most of the time, are those OTK DH’s.
Worse thing, I’ve ran into lists that are almost pure Aggro DH, but they cut 3 cards to put 2x Inner Demon and Kael’Thas in them. You play a casual GalaLock vs Aggro DH, and suddenly you get OTK’d out of nowhere, since you didn’t expect that. Imho that’s the shit you need to prepare against and I find that deck stronger than either Mid or pure Aggro DH.

For obscure reasons, after Jaraxxus replaces your hero, you count as a demon. This means Sacrificial Pact kills you for 0 mana. I am serious, this is no joke – that’s why nobody is playing Jara, even though it’s a cool card.
Because it’s an unfun, slow, boring value-based deck with minimal interaction. Like OP Control Warrior builds from the past – you just draw and play removal, clear board, heal, sometimes drop an irritating minion and resurrect it 50 times. It’s shitty to play as, and it’s shitty to play against it. Sure, it’s not a powerhouse, but it does shoot down tempo decks in a crappy manner.
It’s always like this, when your gameplan is simply to live longer. And those moments, when a Priest steals/copies your deck’s core cards…
