Saviors of Uldum August 26 Nerf Patch - Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, Luna's Pocket Galaxy, Conjurer's Calling, Extra Arms and Barnes!
Overall a pretty disappointing round of nerfs upfront. Reverse the buffs instead of reworking them. Berf Boom against fast decks while leaving him as still pretty much the only viable late game strategy. Nerf Calling even though it’s the less problematic part of its best combo.
Was really hoping for something with Omega Devastator or the more significant parts of combo priest.

I switched out a puzzle box for a pyroblast. I haven’t won a game where I had to play both boxes but there was at least one game that I could’ve won with 10 more face damage.
Tavern Brawl - A Temporus Shift
Mech Paladin kills here. Even a mediocre starting hand will probably get you a win in this brawl since you can play a mech then magnetize everything to it and go face on your next turn. You also have several high-health taunts to survive your agro opponent’s early board.
The Dalaran Heist Guide – Chapter 3: Streets of Dalaran (Heroic Strategy)
My strategy was to make every minion in my deck a 5-mana Malygos that I could discount even more with the second Mage hero power.
I beat the final boss on turn 6.
Rise of the Mechs Event - New Legendary Card, 18 Class Cards Buffed, Goes Live June 3
I like buffing a bunch of cards that barely/never saw any real play but this update will also increase Control Warrior’s survivability by a decent amount. Hopefully new control decks arise than have a chance against Control Warrior with that hero card instead of getting waited out until fatigue with 50hp.
Luna's Pocket Galaxy
That video was the absolute best case scenario for this card though. There’s currently no way to consistently pull off that insane draw luck. Even with baleful banker putting Antonidas back in your deck, that’s a weak turn to set up for another weak turn with Pocket Galaxy.
This card might have some super broken potential but I don’t see it in current mage decks.
Big Spell Mage Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Story time: I was playing against a weird, bad, Emeriss control hunter with a variation of this deck. My opponent had played Emeriss, probably setting up somekind of Leroy>Faceless Manipulator shenanigans to kill me. I had gotten Bolvar from a frozen champion and played him basically as a sacrifice just to protect Sindragosa from crushing walls. Next turn they kill the other champion, presumably to stop me from making an elemental to keep healing out of range of their charge minions, and it’s a Glass Knight. I did the math, sent Sindy face, played Glass Knight, played dragon’s fury to pop the divine shields, and hit them for exact lethal.
The Bolvar Mage meta is upon us.

I play a version with Toki and Sindragosa. I’m very aware that they aren’t optimal but it’s still a pretty good deck and random legendaries help add some fun to a rather boring ladder metagame.
There is almost no chance that it gets HOF between now and April, when it rotates out anyway. HOF usually only effects the classic or basic sets. The odd and even cards were huge exceptions to that rule.
