Standout Rise of Shadows Decks From Day 1
I have a feeling bomb warrior is going to get nerfed for two reasons;
1. They can put an insane amount of damage in your deck for very little effort. Two clockworks two of the bomb weapons and two seforium bombers is already thirty which is your default health total. Add the Ellek and you can potentially stick 60 worth of damage in there, which is just insane.
2. The bomb minions, specifically clockwork, seem like they’ll be an auto include in almost every warrior deck. With a lot of powerful and popular 3 drops moving to wild, the 3 mana spot is wide open for a lot of decks that used to run things like tar creeper or stonehill. I’m testing out a new version of rush warrior and I cant afford NOT to stick the clockwork in there because it’s a vanilla stated minion which is fine for some tempo that also gives you a potential 10 free damage. If I recall correctly Blizz has said before that they try to shy away from printing minions like that, who you see in every archetype no matter what.
The five damage just seems like too much IMO, I predict it will be nerfed to 4 if not 3. It sounds crazy but once again when you think about it if bombs did 3 damage each that’s still a potential 30 damage you can stick into somebody’s deck that activates just by drawing their cards, sounds more than fair to me.
Lore of Legendaries: Rise of Shadows
Great article 🙂 as someone who never played WoW I’m always curious as to the background of the characters. Also makes me wonder about some design decisions; why is one of (if not the) most powerful archmages only a 2/2?? Poor guy is only as strong as a lowly Kobold Geomancer!
Mutate
So is evolve shaman getting phased out dont see a lot of support this expansion, always one of my favorite decks if I wanted to let RNG take the wheel lol I’ll be sad to see it go
Dimensional Ripper
Am I the only one that’s looking at it as a sort of anti-anti-combo card? Your opponent plays unseen saboteur and gives you two minions if it hits this. Granted there’s not really any warrior combos that involve spells so your opponent would have no reason to use the saboteur against a warrior matchup, plus it involves running whar will otherwise be a dead card. I say 2/5 if nothing else I bet we will see a couple good memes come from this

Year of the Dragon is Coming To Hearthstone! Hall of Fame Rotation: Baku & Genn (+Synergies), Doomguard, Naturalize, Divine Favor
What a major shakeup to the game, this is awesome.
Doomguard: I was never bothered by this card, the discard drawback always seemed to limit it to a final burst of damage if it was needed, and if it didn’t kill your opponent you were usually out of luck, cube combo kinda sucked but cubes rotating. Neutral to this change.
Naturalize: Same thing as Doomguard, sometimes the draw two of naturalize would give me the card I need to cinch the game so it was always a risk/reward thing. The fact that it’s going to annihilate druid combo decks right after they neutered their ramp mechanic is going to put druid in a really weird spot, I wonder what kind of cards they have in store for the class.
Divine Favor: Neutral to this, it gave odd pally a nice refill when it ran out of juice but with Baku gone I see no reason why it has to go HoF, once again neutral thought makes me think they have different plans for the class next expansion.
Baku/Genn: I was 90% sure they would be sent to the HoF next rotation, the only thing that had me second guessing was Blizz not wanting to give players 3.2k dust, but it seems like the team is really listening to player feedback right now and trying to get people back into the game/keep those that are getting tired.
All in all great changes, the only other thing I’d like to see is a nerf to priest combo decks, seems like most every other combo deck is going to be gone except for that, but I’m definitely pleased with these changes. This article doesn’t mention all the new modes and features they’re planning on adding either; arena wins counting towards the 500 wins for portraits (I’d have all golden heroes ages ago lol), wild arena, psuedo-story mode for single player content, deck auto complete that looks at the meta, I for one am super excited.
Taking Stock of the Year of the Mammoth – The Impact of Journey to Un’goro Keywords
Agree with KFT breaking the game. I always figured I’d play wild but the prospect of never escaping cards like DK Rexxar has me contemplating just disenchanting my wild cards and sticking with standard. Gonna suck for brawls though so who knows yet
Elemental Shaman - Rastakhan 2nd Nerf - #1 Legend (posesi)
How important is Grumble? I’m hesitant to craft because he rotates soon, I was thinking either electra for earthen might value or maybe a tech like Zihi because I’m still seeing a lot of combo decks
What’s Warrior Losing in the 2019 Standard Hearthstone Rotation?
I hope they add some more support for rush warrior, it’s a fun archetype but it’s just missing SOMETHING to make it competitive, I just dont know what though lol
Are Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater too strong?
I just think they should go HoF in April. They were fun for a year but Hearthstone is ultimately a card game, not a press hero power button and sometimes play cards game. Plus, they’ll only continue to limit design space, everything will be created/nerfed based on what will this do in an odd/even deck. On the other hand, I don’t mind them staying in the pool if Blizz does something about OTK decks either. But between Odd/Even decks and druids that draw 80% of their card pool in 1 turn or priests that stall until they have 5 mind blasts in hand SOMETHING has to give soon.

Liam transforms the Hakkar’s corrupted bloods into legendary minions
I’m running a list that includes;
-2 tracking
-2 deadly shot
-2 masters call
-2 dire frenzy
-2 tundra rhino
-1 unleash the beast
-2 scalehide
And
+2 secretkeeper
+2 twinspell 1 dmg (forgot the name)
+1 kill command
+1 snake trap
+2 masked contender
+1 unleash the hounds
+1 baited arrow
+2 sunreaver spy
+1 vareesa
Rank 10 to 7 so far with 2 or 3 losses seems pretty solid, might try swapping out one of the masked contenders for a deadly shot, turn 1 secretkeeper turn 2 secret and turn 3 sunreaver spy or masked contender is difficult for a lot of decks to deal with rn withour burning through a lot of removal early save for rogue which seems to be the worst matchup
