Flesh Giant
I mean, it’s a giant.
I don’t think this flesh boi is worth a 4.6 star rating when the earliest I can imagine dropping this would be turn five.
I guess a free 8/8 later on in the game is fine, but that’s really not exceptional. The days of going free Giant-free Giant-Defender of Argus being effective are probably over.
Disciplinarian Gandling
He’s alright, but you’re not going to pull much off with the card unless you’re already winning.
If you’re playing from behind, your opponent can probably muster together six damage so it’ll die before you can really get going with the card.
Takahn was at least a aura buff that remained even after the minion died. It was also always a +3/+3 buff on the one mana Lackeys while Gandling giving a +2/+1 buff on your two mana minions on average really isn’t that impressive.
The best I can really see for this is dropping it on turn six with either the new Boneweb Egg (For a 3/6, 4/4, and two 2/1s) in Warlock or with Grandmummy (For a 4/7, 4/4, and a 1/1) in Priest.
Other scenarios really rely on playing this either super late or surviving a turn. The former probably won’t have much impact and the latter is generally unlikely.
Disciplinarian Gandling
Anything you can’t combo with in the same turn you play it probably isn’t really going to happen.
Why would this be good for Rez Priest?
I also really wouldn’t call 3/6 premium stats either.
Combustion
A nice twist on Shadow Bolt, but while efficient, you’re probably not going to deal much damage to the neighboring minions very often. Granted, sometimes just damaging them is all that you’d really need like against Murloc Paladin or something.
Combustion will definitely be an inclusion in the already uber expensive Highlander Mage, but I’m not convinced it’ll do much else. That is unless the removal is really needed.
Headmaster Kel'Thuzad
This is definitely good. Shadow Word: Death or Shield Slam could easily make this into a six or seven mana stats haymaker.
The primary issue though is that a big pile of stats is most of what this’ll be.
If you can manage to play this in the same turn as a board sweeping spell, that’s where you’ll get a lot of extra value, but most good board sweepers and this probably can’t be played in the same turn.
Control shells will play this, but it’ll probably be something that can be cut should budget be an issue.
Animated Broomstick
Sure, it could be useful, but nine mana and one-and-a-half cards to do nothing but maybe deal a bit of damage to an opposing board is awful under any circumstance. At that point, you would probably be better off with a Starfall instead of Broomstick.
Survival of the Fittest
You’re better off playing Overflow as your free spell most of the time.
The only exception would be if you had a wide board, and decks playing Kael’thas aren’t likely to be playing a whole lot of minions with the exception of Glowfly Swarm.
Devolving Missiles
If Devolve can get away with being two mana, this does more or less have to be one mana.
Granted, if the card should have been three mana, how do you even think it would only be three stars?
Onyx Magescribe
Getting two cards incidentally off a 4/9 for six is still going to be pretty alright.
Survival of the Fittest
Too bad its only going to happen once or twice every hundred or so games.
Nithogg
I get that, but there are more reliable cards to do that with like maybe Fire Elemental

Nithogg
This just screams “win more” to me.
If you’re behind, Nothogg will almost be completely unable to catch you up unless your opponent’s a howler monkey.
Dragonqueen Alexstrasza
Yeah, we really needed this, didn’t we?
Sure, yay, more Highlander support I guess. Granted, with stuff like Quest Druid already playing Zephrys the Great because it can, it’ll also see play in those sorts of decks, and we really needed that deck, Nomi decks, and Warlock combo stuff to have another fall-back option.
Of course it’s a good card. It’s just a card I had the design of at this point in time seeing how Zephrys is often played.
It also really doesn’t help out the average cost of constructing a Wild Highlander decks since now there’s another legendary card you have no reason not to play for each of them.
Dragonqueen Alexstrasza
Given decks like Quest Druid, Nomi Priest, and other decks that can just churn through their decks already play Zephrys, anything that can play that will also be playing this.
Who actually said that? Did anyone?
