StrifeCro's Control Mage w/Medivh's Valet & Medivh (September 2016, Season 30)
I think a lot come from Twitter so getting a vod isn’t always an option (unless creating more work for Evident), but I agree, anything to help with mulligan in these not-so-obvious decks, is a major help.
Brian Kibler's Yogg Reno Mage w/Babbling Book (August 2016, Season 29)
Anyone have a suggestion for replacing Forbidden Flame? I’d like to try this deck without spending 400 dust.
StrifeCro's Dragon Paladin Zoo w/Zoobot & Menagerie Magician (August 2016, Season 29)
This looks like a lot of fun. But I worry that five dragon activators aren’t enough. Maybe Ysera would be a good late game addition?
N'zoth / Reno Mage
I’m running a similar list without Reno.
Have you thought about adding Barnes? There’s only two minions (N’zoth and Reno) that would be considered a “bad” pull from Barnes.
May even be worth cutting Rhonin for…he’s just so slow and in Control match-ups he doesn’t do much.
StrifeCro's Kara Kazham!, Barnes Renolock (August 2016, Season 29)
I realize it wouldn’t be a “loss” to pull Reno/Jaraxxus with Barnes, but it certainly wouldn’t help you very much.
StrifeCro's Kara Kazham!, Barnes Renolock (August 2016, Season 29)
Thematically this fits Warlock pretty well. Barnes could pull a game winning card, or you could pull Reno or Jaraxxus and well, sacrifices must be made.
ModernLeper's (Standard) N'Zoth Deathrattle Priest (May 2016, Season 26)
Has anyone tried this on ladder? How does this fare against the popular aggro decks: Zoolock and Aggro Shaman?
J4CKIECHAN'S (Standard) Midrange Hunter (May 2016, Season 26)
This looks like a pretty beefy list. I might try N’zoth in here with 8 deathrattle minions.
Thijs' (Standard) Reno C'thun Warlock - Season 26, May 2016
Replacement for Jaraxxus?
Kripp's Season 26 (Standard, Old Gods) C'Thun/N'Zoth Deathrattle Rogue
Anyone got a good replacement suggestion for Xaril? I might just throw Cairn in there.
Trump's WoTOG Standard C'Thun Warlock Zoo
Was thinking he’d be great for this deck. What did you cut for him?
Purple's WotOG Standard Face Hunter
Remember when we used to be able to say, “Sub Arcane Golem for Leeroy if you don’t have him.” Alas, those days are gone.
Tars' EU Winter Prelims 2016 Curse of Rafaam Aggro Zoo
This deck looks like a lot of fun, but I would say from the looks of it, it is less aggro-y than typical Zoolock.
Vlps' Season 22 Reno Secret Paladin
My winrate against Control decks is very favorable with regular Secret Paladin, but I switch to this and I have a better winrate overall, but much poorer against Control (especially Priest with double Entomb). Does anyone have some good suggestions for playing against Control decks, mainly priest? I feel like I just might be approaching the match-up incorrectly now that I’m playing a more slowed down deck.
Vlps' Season 22 Reno Secret Paladin
Never say never, man. I can’t tell you how many times keeping a secret in my opening hand has saved me. If it’s shaman or hunter, you’re almost guaranteed it’s aggro so that noble sacrifice helps. Plus, you almost always keep secrets if you get a Secretkeeper in opening hand.
Vlps' Season 22 Reno Secret Paladin
Many times you have to play MC or you will die. It’s best to keep two.
Vlps' Season 22 Reno Secret Paladin
Well mulligan will differ from matchup to matchup, but you generally keep Avenge and Noble Sacrifice, and there are many times when you will also keep Mysterious Challenger esp. with the coin. But if you think about it this way: you can drop Reno anytime after MC has been played because at that point you have no duplicates anymore.
Vlps' Season 22 Reno Secret Paladin
Well after playing maybe 15 games with this deck, I can probably answer my own question.
Deathlord can stop early aggro, but ultimately you want the Argent Protector. Second MC is also crucial I think, because sometimes the only way you can play Reno is if you play MC first (because not only does it take care of the MC duplicate, it takes care of Avenge and Noble Sacrifice duplicates as well).
I have not tried Deathlord in place of Ironbeak Owl but this may not be a bad move because I rarely need silence except to get past a taunt. Ironbeak sometimes feels like a dead card in your hand.
Conversely, an unfavorable drop from Deathlord can straight up lose you the game because this deck has very little to deal with an 8hp minion with taunt.
Vlps' Season 22 Reno Secret Paladin
What are thoughts on Deathlord in this deck?
I got rekt by a Secret Paladin yesterday that dropped Deathlord T3 and it was absolutely the game for me (mirror match). I can’t find the deck anywhere, but I’m wondering if it wasn’t a variation of this deck.
I don’t know what you would drop for it. Second MC to avoid duplicates, or possibly Argent Protector or Owl (as both seem like tech choices)?
Seemed like every streamer I watched last night was running a version of Control Mage…they were all powerful, but different in their own regard.
This is the first I’ve seen with Curator and Corrupted Seer. It’ll be interesting to see how strong this deck is once it gets refined.
