No way. This might be one of the top cards, but there are several other insanely powerful cards, such as secret passage and that 0 mana add 2 1 cost minions to your hand for Paladin.

This is downright insane. It’s better flanking strike.

The thing is, a deck just mashed up of all these OP cards won’t be good. They are printing excellent DH cards for various archetypes; this goes in control, while others like imprisoned antaen go in aggro. It won’t be as oppressive as you think, but it still might be tier 1.

That 6/7 card with the avenging wrath at the end of your turn also makes DH bonkers in arena. Not to mention the disgusting imprisoned cards.

If your opponent doesn’t even have a 5 attack minion on the board by turn eight, you likely are winning anyway. This card shines when you are behind, however, because it’s basically a furious ettin with battlecry: destroy a minion for only 1 extra mana. This is kind of like the twin tyrant card as well, except much better because the body actually has taunt. Your logic that “8 is a lot of mana” is true, but when the card is fast and has taunt, you can definitely afford to play it.
