A Look Back at The First Six Weeks of Demon Hunter - What Went Wrong & Right With The New Class
On the one hand, I agree adding some new stuff keeps the game fresh, and Demon Hunter needed to be powerful, because adding a new class that sucked would have been embarassing. On the other hand, my winrate tanked after DH was added. I did the math, and I had the same ~60% winrate against all the old classes during the first three or four weeks after DH was added, but with my games against DH included in my stats, my winrate was barely 50%. I only made progress up the ladder because of the new bonus star system; as soon as I got to D5 and didn’t have a bonus anymore, I’d gain a rank, lose a rank, repeat. I haven’t played ladder in about three weeks, because it’s just pointless; rush up the ladder with bonus stars, then tread water until the end of the month. Obviously, Blizzard isn’t going to design the whole game around one player who’s playing nothing but highlander Rogue for months, but from my point of view, the game is a total drag now.
Tavern Brawl - Brawl Block: Feeling Adventurous?
Yeah, you can change decks as much as you want. Go in to edit deck, then there’s a delete button at the bottom, then you can make a new deck.
Tavern Brawl - Brawl Block: Feeling Adventurous?
2x Risky Skipper
2x Grim Patron
26x whatever (mostly Galakrond)
Can anyone tell if random and discovered card generation are only from the block sets? Looks like random cards are, since Cobalt Spellkin gave me nothing but Boom Squad. I didn’t play enough discover cards to tell for sure.
(Last Chance to Get it) Year of the Dragon Bundle - 45 Card Packs for $29.99 - Available Until May 4
Pretty much what I expected.
(Last Chance to Get it) Year of the Dragon Bundle - 45 Card Packs for $29.99 - Available Until May 4
Do the Year of the Dragon packs have the same guaranteed legendary in the first 10 packs as regular sets?
Nerf Patch Early Next Week - Battlefiend, Altruis, Glaivebound Adept, Kael'Thas, Bad Luck Albatross, Frenzied Felwing, Sac Pact, Open the Waygate and Bloodbloom
“Nerf to Millhouse Manastorm”
Well, there’s a phrase I never thought I’d read.
Ranked Ladder Rework is Out - Everything You Need To Know About the New Ranked System!
The packs look like Ashes of Outland packs, which makes sense, since we won’t get them until the end of the month, anyway.
17.0 Hotfix Coming Soon - New/Returning Player Decks, Kingsbane, Living Roots, Invoke Cards and More Bugs!
“Invoke cards will now no longer appear from cards that generate other cards.”
Was this the case previously? I’ve tried to grab Invoke spells from spell lackeys many times, hoping to get the fourth invoke before I played Galakrond, it would have been nice to know that wasn’t possible.
A Few Notes on the Returning Player Experience - Who Qualifies For the Free Decks
I logged in to Europe for the first time in a while and it gave me the free deck.
Ashes of Outland Card List & Expansion Guide! Release Date, Card Reveals, Pre-Purchase Info, New Mechanics and More!
Hmm, this new 6 mana 7/5 legendary neutral demon in my collection looks familiar. Name doesn’t ring a bell, though…
Free New & Returning Players Decks - Pick One Out of 9 Deck Lists!
Rogue might pick up some extra value whenever Edwin eventually gets hall of famed, too. Maybe play it for a while, then get 1600 free dust for it at some point
But yeah, either a Galakrond deck or highlander mage seem like the best choices, both give you key legendaries usable in several decks.
"A Storm Is Coming" - March 17 Announcements? New Expansion Set It Nagrand/Outland?
That would be some big news.
"A Storm Is Coming" - March 17 Announcements? New Expansion Set It Nagrand/Outland?
Yeah, I was wondering about the tiny one in the distance. I agree, the one to the left looks like Medivh.
Worst Designed Cards and Mechanics in the History of Hearthstone
Anything that causes a card’s mana cost drop to 0, like Sorceror’s Apprentice, or the card’s own text, like the giants. Many combos that feel unfun to lose to are a result of making cards that don’t start at 0 become 0. I’d like to see the general rule become nothing drops below 1; if it isn’t printed to be 0 cost in the first place, it can’t become 0 cost by any other means.

There’s a small figure in the background behind the murloc’s hand. Looks pretty generic, though. Anyone think it’s recognizable?
Galakrond's Awakening Meta Decks (Week 3) - Best Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes
This is quite possibly the least fun meta ever. 50% of my opponents are druid (a mix of embiggen and token, with quest showing up more often the last few days), 25% are hunter. Before this adventure released, I had ~60% winrate with highlander rogue, which was actually a fun deck to play. Now, I can’t find anything that stays above 50%. So, I log in, lose three games in a row to druid, and log out. Awesome casual player experience.
Galakrond's Awakening Meta Decks (Week 2) - Best Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes
Just play Galakrond Zoolock. I had never played it before today, and I’ve already gone 7-1 against Druid. 3-2 against everything else, but who cares, the meta is 2/3 Druid.
Galakrond's Awakening Meta Decks (Week 1) - Best Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes
Heh, I briefly had a bug where the store wouldn’t open. I guess Blizzard didn’t want any money there for a minute.
Highlander Rogue - #24 Legend (RumHam) - Descent Post-Nerf
Turn four seems weak. Only two unconditional 4 drops, and hero power + 2 drop isn’t much better. I enjoy playing the deck, but there are too many games where I have to hero power turns 2-4, because my hand is Heistbaron, Kronx, and Mechanical Whelp.
No DH in this brawl, only the original nine classes.
