Cloning gallery isn’t a requirement to play this deck. There are variations of it that don’t use the spell. It’s a hit or miss spell. Drawing it late obviously makes it useless, it has a number of bad pulls in the deck (eg. Amet, psychopomp, nzoth) and you’re not always going to be safe playing it if you haven’t stabilized. When it works it’s great but it’s not needed.
