Orange's DreamHack Leipzig Hybrid Hunter
8:06 (from the above link) is when the Semi-Finals with Orange start (with Warlock and Paladin banned). We don’t see Orange’s Hunter here in game 1 (Orange’s Patron Warrior takes over Mr. Yagut’s Tempo Effigy Mage on turn 5 with Patron+double Inner Rage into a fun finisher involving a fireball due to Lorewalker Cho. game 2 Orange is again too good with Patron and defeat’s Mr. Yagut’s Oil Rogue doing Patron things. Finally in game 3, Orange’s Patron finally gets combo’ed out by Druid. In game 4, Orange’s Oil Rogue runs out of gas like it usually does and dies to Druid, which means we get a Game 5: Hybrid Hunter versus Druid (08:48).
Game 5 the Hunter takes Druid apart, closing the game out with Unleash the Hounds plus Kill Command to get through Druid’s taunt 4/6. It wasn’t a bad draw overall – the game saw turn 2 Mad Scientist, and a Bow joined the party later on. Force of Nature was forced to be used as a clear, after which the Hunter just rebuilt and kept chugging, earning Orange the finals spot (making Hybrid Hunter 4-0 in the tournament thus far).

10:34 the finals start off (Orange’s Patron Warrior is banned here). Orange’s Oil Rogue actually beats out JJ’s Druid due to Druid not trading away the board (and leaving 3 healthy minions up for Orange). Game 2 brings up an Oil Rogue mirror, but our hero Orange keeps board control throughout the match and draws Oil first. No blade flurry to be seen for him, but he didn’t need it in the first place (and so Orange continues on 2:0 on Oil Rogue this set). SuperJJ’s last hero, Patron Warrior comes up, but Oil Rogue gets there with double Oil and double Blade Flurry…and so Orange is crowned only seeing Hybrid Hunter undefeated in 4 matches.
Still, it was a good run, made me respect rogue’s gimmicks a little more.
Bottom line though: Hybrid Hunter was really good that tournament for Orange.

Game 2 versus Xixo’s Druid he just straight up crushes. Gets Leok instead of the other two and has bad juggles, but no swipe means free win.
In game 3 versus Xixo’s Zoo, Zoo gets some early minions, but then is sitting on 2 IMP-losions and a Loatheb and is forced to tap early on. Hunter contests the initial minions with Bow Control followed up by turn 4 Coin+Knife Juggler+Unleash (for 3) and turn 5 Knife Juggler+Unleash (for 3). Leok and double Arcane Golems wreck Zoo despite the two pretty (but slow) IMP-losions for 2 on the Jugglers.
TL/DR: Orange 3:0’s Xixo in the Quarter finals with just Hybrid Hunter across Secret Hunter, Combo/Mid-range Druid, and Warlock Zoo. On to the rest of the VOD!

Watching the VOD now. Rogue and Priest were banned, in game one of the quarterfinals the Hunter beats Secrets Paladin convincingly through a redemption belcher and bad juggles.. Unfortunately, spectator mode bugged out, so only part of that game was viewable (but pretty straightforward). VOD here (game starts at 2:46:35): http://www.twitch.tv/taketv_hs/v/37120741 Will watch the rest before taking it out.
Just curious – didn’t Orange not actually play this deck in the tournament (due to playing the other 3)?
