Stargazer Luna
You can play this on turn 10 to draw multiple cards. Nobody said this card has to be played on curve and on turn 3.
I think of it like Brann, but with more restrictions.
Spider Bomb
This makes me remember Obsidian Statue. You can hook it up to a Taunt Mech and it’s basically an Obsidian Statue. I won’t underestimate this card in the long run.
Baleful Banker
Thank god Nzoth will be gone
This in Wild will rekt havoc, you can discount both with Thaurissan to play both on turn 10
Paragon of Light
Sorry to blow your party hat off, but the handbuffs that Paladin have right now will go away with all of the Gadgetzan set, it’s the only set that featured handbuffs (I think), unless you’re talking about wild, then sure. 🙂
Ferocious Howl
You technically have to have at least 6 cards, including this one (because the game counts the number of cards in your hand after you’ve play this), to be as good as Shield Block (maximum of 9 armors). Conditionally worse or better than Shield Block.
Also, I think Druid have more ways to gain armor than Warrior which is sad. (Branching Path, Earthen Scales, Oaken Summons, Druid Death Knight, Ultimate Infestation)
Bewitched Guardian
They are literally printing a forced Hand deck with this for Druid, and I dont like forced decks, it reminds me of Jades (they literally slap every card with the key word Jade Golem in the deck)
Like seriously, they literally revealed 5 ish cards for Druid that has the “for each card in you hand” wording, its starting to become boring and lazy
The Witchwood Final Card Reveal Livestream Card List (Day9 & Ben Brode) - Live Coverage!
Its quite hard to predict which decks will dominate the meta for the next 3 months, because first of all we dont have the list of every card yet, and it’s really hard to correlate different cards just in our mind without actually playing a real game of Hearthstone in order to comprehend the power level of each. There are a lot of occasions in previous expansions where cards are actually pretty good, but they didnt see play because it doesnt fit in any decks that exist right then or simply because they didnt serve any purpose other than being good, like vanilla Yeti good.
Archmage Arugal
The reason why Ice Block is leaving is because it is OP in most cases, because it is one of the only card in the game that guarantees you one extra turn of survival turn, unless you take fatigue damage. Ice Block is basically run in almost every Mage decks, because other Mage secrets get countered easily here and there. Mage could still technically stay in most games, there’s rarely a need for Ice Block, unless you are playing a Control heavy deck that only relies on pure value and grinding.
Ice Barrier is a more accessible way of survival, but of course definitely weaker, however it will see much more play after Ice Block going out of rotation.
Archmage Arugal
Inb4 Spiteful Mage with fukton of minions or Elemental Mage all the way
Blink Fox
Considering Swashburglar and Undercity Hukster being played and good, this is obviously playable and good
Countess Ashmore
Dr. Boom of the set.
This will go alongside the must craft legendary minions list with Lich King
Worgen Abomination
Sleep with the fishes is obviously better, even though its rotating out.
The only way this could work consistently is with Death Knight Warrior’s hero power
In other classes, this is not good at all, at probably can only be triggered once
Silver Sword
What about Sword of Justice?
This requires no board to be as efficient, but it doesn’t necessarily have the same potential value as the one here.
That one requires a board and if you want value, you’ll be holding those swings, if not, you’ll be attacking with a 8 mana Assassin’s Blade
So we had Annoy-o-tron, a 1/1 Divine Shield Taunt, now Annoy-o-tron’s big brother
