Again you said it yourself, that it’s a good card in a control deck, and that’s true coz in a control vs control match-up the card is great value wise, but again the same issue presents itself is that the meta is too fast for it and is heavily dominated by mid-range and aggro decks which tear control decks apart.
So after he’s dropped, by turn 8 a zoo player will be playing spells (in fact we’re really talking about the only 2 spell that zoo runs PO and soulfire sometimes) not to clear him but to finish the game, and every other deck played right now will be killing you or bringing you in range of lethal by that time.
Freeze mage is non existent even though it’s not a bad deck but it gets eaten alive in this meta. Priest is trash and by the looks of it, it’s gonna be that way for a very long time. The only viable control archetype now is warrior either c’thun or classic and very few renolocks. The classic cw almost doesn’t see any play with all its variants and with N’zoth and what not and c’thun cw is seeing less and less play coz midrange shaman and hunter just prey on it for bonus stars also druid is picking up in popularity which is still notoriously bad for cw and coz people actually prefer the warrior’s faster decks mainly the dragon one which also has a slightly favorable match-up vs cw. As for renolock, you don’t get reno you’re dead that’s it, no more stalling with healbot no more molten taunt up.
My point is the meta is shifting for faster decks ie faster wins and control decks are being dropped in favor of those decks, so for this card to see any competitive play it needs the meta to slow down significantly which, I’m fairly certain that that won’t happen.

Dude I wasn’t saying that summoning stone is a good card, I’m comparing medivh with an already bad card that isn’t played coz as you said it’s a bad tempo card and gets removed and “If none of those happen you were already probably ahead or lucky so summoning stone was just a win more card” and that’s even more so with medivh. So you’re playing an 8 mana war golem that does nothing the turn it’s played other than equip the weapon then u need to have spells at hand to cast them one turn later and attack with your 7/7 if it hopefully isn’t dead already and if all this happens still won’t make up for the tempo lost, and if you get to pull this off in 2 turns and you’re not already winning then I don’t know what to call this.
In a realistic scenario, when is anyone gonna ever get to play this, vs a zoo with a board full of minions bashing your face? or a dragon warrior that had a 9/9 two turns earlier and now he’s dropping rag or gromm or malkorok for lethal or face shaman where u won’t even get to turn 8 or even a hunter who just played call of the wild and has a highmane already in play that just banged your face for 7 and you’re just dead to his steady shot next turn.
So yea in terms of realistically getting in-game value out of this very slow bad tempo card in this current meta is almost nonexistent, cool card nonetheless, but is it competitive? not so much.

Ah yes, that moment when blizz realized that tuskar totemic was a mistake.

The guy who created this card has some serious issues with priest, like some serious hate, maybe there’s bad history between them but we don’t have to pay the price for those issues, just go couples therapy and print some decent priest cards

This card is pretty awful imo, it’s basically what summoning stone would look like if it were a legendary card. Summoning stone is a fun card with a cool effect but it’s far from competitive coz it’s random and a very slow card, and making a big ass even slower summoning stone won’t change that fact. Hell I’d rather play summoning stone over this card just for being able to have 2 copies of it and for being able to actually have enough mana on the same turn I play it to play another spell plus the fact that summoning stone has infinite procs while atiesh on the other hand only has 3 durability. So my expectations for this card in terms of competitive play is he’ll see a lot of play after it’s released coz it’s the “new card” then it won’t see much play after that.

Thanks, you too made some nice interesting decks & congrats on your priest deck making it the front page 🙂
Literally every single minion that Barnes hits is a good pull except for the single copy of babbling book, you got mana wyrm, cult sorcerer, apprentice, flamewaker, Thalnos, loot hoarder, acolyte, drake & leeroy, the question is why not to run him
