Hearthstone 27.4.3 Patch Notes - Jailer Temporarily Banned, Battlegrounds Updates, Bug Fixes
It’s a blatant effort to force players to buy more new cards.
The rationale doesn’t even make sense:
(a) Tony and Jailer coexist in Standard. It’s stupidly obvious that players will try to combo the two. This is not a new concept.
(b) Tony is banned in Wild. Why is the Jailer then also banned in Wild?
Very sad that crucial E.T.C. tech in fun Tier 3-4 decks is getting killed, albeit temporarily, because a different card is problematic.
(Live Now) Hearthstone 27.2 Patch Notes - Caverns of Time Wild Expansion, Battlegrounds Season 5, New Twist Season, Standard Balance Changes and more!
I suppose we’ll need to wait for proper Hunter nerfs in Standard until after more 49.99 Diamond Aggramars have sold.
Kargal Battlescar Will Be Eligible For Full Dust Refunds After Watch Post Nerfs (Hotfix Coming Later This Week)
Pleasantly surprised by this. It is very frustrating when players are left holding nerf-adjacent legendaries.

NVM I’m illiterate.

Seems like duplicate protection does not work if you purchase the bundle.
I opened a 3rd copy of “Hysteria” after purchasing the bundle even though I am missing quite a few epics from DMF.
Don’t know whether this is intended or a bug.
A Look Back at The First Six Weeks of Demon Hunter - What Went Wrong & Right With The New Class
I think this is generally a very thoughtful analysis of the Demon Hunter class, however I must disagree with the following statement:
“So between making it too strong and too weak, the former is clearly better.”
The complete disregard for balance on release negatively impacted the expansion release for myself and many others. While I was peripherally excited for Demon Hunter, I was more excited to try out new cards for my favorite existing classes. The absurd power level of the class rendered experimentation with other classes not enjoyable, especially given the >50% play rate of Demon Hunter during the first weeks. Even Wild wasn’t safe.
It’s almost as if Blizzard does not internally play test, which is extremely galling for such a large company. I do appreciate some of the efforts to retroactively fix egregious balance problems, but frankly, frequent card balance changes kill the CCG fantasy for me. I’d much rather that they get balance right for 99% of the cards and relegate problems to Wild early like they did with Baku and Genn instead of taking such clumsy risks.

Has there been any word on whether the pre-purchase will be available in the Amazon App Store, or are they restricting it to the Battle.net shop, or is this unknown at the moment?
Official Blizzard Statement on the Grandmasters / Blitzchung Incident
That is a very well-written letter by whichever PR and/or law firm Blizzard has on retainer. It’s absolutely oozing with craven disingenuousness, but I can’t really find fault with it.
I just wish they wouldn’t lie so blatantly…
“We don’t think combo play patterns are inherently bad”
and
“we still want cards like that to exist for players who like that type of gameplay” (mill)
Just doesn’t hold up to any scrutiny. They clearly despite both.
Honestly, I like mill – something needs to punish greedy control decks.
