Bog Beast
Another pretty decent Smokescreen Rogue minion, but the deathrattle is on the weaker side. Most likely not worth it.
Tome Tampering
Massive implications for wild with a hand full of “When you discard this card” effects to trigger them all at once, activate Lakkari Sacrifice super quickly, and potentially mana-cheat all the cards you didn’t want to discard anyways. Need tons of draw to make up for it, but Hand of Gul’dan can compensate.
God-awful for standard without tons of support being released, there’s nothing for it right now. Any combos it might enable are almost definitely doable with Runed Mithril Rod without eating your hand.
Artificer Xy'mox
From what’s revealed so far, the relic package is 9 cards. That could slot in a variety of decks, it’s just a “package”. Renathal even allows for larger decks that can span multiple archetypes, especially those based around attrition/long-term payoffs. This archetype style spans all the way back to Mean Streets of Gadgetzan with jade golems.
Necrolord Draka
Between this and the location so far, look out for Loan Shark rogue. I’ve tried to make it work with Snowfall Graveyard + Sketchy Info giving you 4 coins in hand, attempted to do a Gadgetzan Auctioneer -> Garrote combo, but hand space got super clunky. Now we’ve got pay off cards, no combo needed! I’m hyped, 5 stars.
In regards to Rustrot – Not everyone runs weapon removal now since Lightforged Cariel & control Warrior nerfs. You will get at least one swing with what can be a massive weapon, and they have to have the viper and spend the mana to remove it. Shadowstep also exists, outlast a single viper.
Serena Bloodfeather
That still isn’t exactly how it works, depending on how the effect executes. If Serena steals 1/1 stats until both her attack AND health are higher, then minions with odd stats (more attack than health or more health than attack) have more than half stats stolen.
e.g. Serena targets a 10/4 minion (Serena ~ targeted minion): 2/2 ~ 9/3, 3/3 ~ 8/2, 4/4 ~ 8/2, 5/5 ~ 7/1, 6/6 ~ 6/0
If this is how the effect works, Serena can kill minions with attack at least twice their health, or leave a minion with 0 attack if their health is at least twice their attack.
Two more abyssal waves? Sign me up. Definite 5 star card.
