tholwmenos' Aggro Pirate Warrior - Rank 1 Legend (March 2017, Season 36)
If you pilot this deck literally mindlessly then it can probably feel like this. Having said that, I’ve played the dragon priest vs aggro warrior match-up 100+ times now (assuming this is one of the match-ups you’re referring to) and can honestly say, your assumption on who has to draw well is flawed.
I agree with Evident, nothing written above is accurate.
Chillinon's (Wild) Malygos Shaman - Top 10 Legend (January 2017, Season 34)
I tried this deck and it seems like the meta has slowed down too much for it to be viable. Too many decks throw out one or two threats at a time and it has a similar effect to playing secret pali where your AOE cards are usually dead and using too much burn to clear the board eats in to your win condition. I’m almost certainly not playing it optimally but it feels like it has a lot of unfavored match-ups right now. Having said that, it does feel great to get an aggro shaman or warrior because it does really well.
Thijs' Renolock - HCT EU Winter Playoffs 2017
A few people have said that same thing. If you’re not running combo (and most aren’t any more) the only exceptional target for Thaurissan is Dr. J. So, it’s basically a 6 mana 5/5 that doesn’t help keep you alive and hits a good target 50/50 at best. Trump even through in Frost elemental to save damage and combo with Corruption. I doubt that will stick but it’s another option in that slot.
Ben Brode Comments on the Standard Rotation - More Classic Cards Could Rotate Out of Standard!
You and I share that concern. Like I said, I may not be the average collector, but I just spent a lot of dust to get gold copies of neutral legendaries that see a lot of play. If those cards get nerfed or leave standard I would be pretty upset.
I also get that wild is a thing, I’m just not interested in playing it right now. That’s a personal preference thing but I think a lot of people feel that way as well. So I have zero incentive to craft a golden legendary from a set that has already rotated out. They’re playing a pretty dangerous game if they decide to hit classic cards or rotate them out.
Ben Brode Comments on the Standard Rotation - More Classic Cards Could Rotate Out of Standard!
Yes, it would be disappointing. Any player who has played for a while will have spent a lot of dust (and likely some money) on the classic cards they thought would “always” be relevant. Having said that, we need to keep in mind that there will be a full dust refund. I have spent dust on a golden Rag, Sylvanas, Leeroy, etc…and I would be gutted to see them leave standard, but, if I REALLY wanted to, I could spend that dust on another classic gold card.
I think they need to be really careful here. If the best cards (or at least the majority of them) are from the expansions and adventures, then I think people would be heavily disincentivized to invest dust and money in those sets. Gold cards don’t appeal to everyone, but it’s always fun to have a few that will stick around regardless of rotation.
Kazakus RenoLock Deck List Guide (March 2017, Standard) - Season 36
Hi Velky,
I played renolock to legend this season and Jaraxxus was probably the card I tinkered with most. It can be a dead card with how fast some of the popular decks are, and I’m finding this the case more often than not. Sunfury can buy you a turn or 2 so if you’re finding that you’re not holding a decent win-rate against aggro, I’d recommend this swap. This deck is good right now because it does well against aggro so a high win rate against shaman and warrior is key to climbing.
In my opintion, the combo is a must and the primary win condition in this meta. With people teching against 7/7’s your giant/drake + shambler will get removed nearly every time, and for the reasons above, Jaraxxus isn’t a reliable win condition right now. When the meta slows, and it is right now (slowly), Jaraxxus will be one of the best cards in the deck.

Really helpful! Thanks for the quick response!
Asmodai's Rank 1 Legend Kazakus Renolock (December 2016, Season 33)
Evident, just wondering how this deck does against Jade Druid? I ran this to rank 2 then hit a wall of Jade Druid’s and it seems to get crushed. I’m assuming adding twisting nether and jaraxxus back in is for that match-up. Any tips on the match-up in general? Seems strange to see so much Jade Druid when it get’s stomped by almost everything else…
Asmodai's Rank 1 Legend Kazakus Renolock (December 2016, Season 33)
I’ve found the same thing. It’s REALLY tough to run the risk of using this as removal when you’re holding part of your combo or Reno, so it’s essentially part of the combo making it 24 max damage. Having said that, you can use it when desperate against a lot of cards that see play (totem golem, azure drake, bran, corruptor, pillager, auctioneer, berserker, etc…).
Fibonacci's Legend N'Zoth Control Warrior (November 2016, Season 32)
Fibonacci is an incredible control player so I can see him make anything work, but I agree with Alonzo. This is NOT for the average player. I must have played about 50 games with this deck (since my last comment asking about Elise) and I find it clunky. It seems like you’re forcing death rattle minions out in order to set up for one big play at the end and it’s just not consistent. For anyone looking to play control warrior, I’d highly recommend the standard list with Elise. Either this deck isn’t great right now, or the learning curve is insane. Either way, I don’t see a lot of people finding success with it.
Amnesiac's Midrange Secret Hunter - Hearthstone World Championship Top-8 (BlizzCon 2016)
I’ve taken this deck to ladder just to try it out and I would recommend removing the deadly shot and adding in the second highmane. You can typically fight for the board well enough and when you can’t, it’s not usually one big minion, its several small ones (zoo and tempo) so the death rattle is really important and the deadly shot doesn’t get value very often (in other words, it was a dead card more often than not). Having said all that, this deck is solid.
You may want to look at (completely) revamping this list. It only takes a few days right now, but it’s severely out-dated and sub-optimal.
