This is entirely infuriating.

Finally, FINALLY a format that allows you to collect and master all cards eventually, and climb to Legend consistently without the need to invest into it again, and again, and again… and then they come up with the idea making it to some random-changing madness, where you can’t even predict what will you need from the tons of old cards to be able to win at all.

I hate this idea even more than that which was about adding Curse of Naxxramas to the classic pool – and that was unfair too, since you cannot buy the adventure with gold anymore.

Sorry for the rage, but I just had to say it once.

My main problem with this achievement is the card back itself. The Phoenix card back we got for the Barrens puzzle was awesome and regal. The “Gift of Elune” for Stormwind was decent, but nothing special. But this?… It looks like carved with a hatchet. Or most likely an ice axe.

I have found out something interesting lately about this.

My advice is to open the stream on the “Hearthstone” channel, and not “Hearthstone Esports”. When I viewed the latter, my packs arrived inconsistently, 1-2 days later (though I got all of them eventually so far). Then I tried to use the “Hearthstone” channel and got them almost immediately after each 2 hours during all the last three events.

I do not know if it affects anything, but I live in Central Europe, and my Hearthstone account is in the European region.

I also paid attention to follow some other advices I have read somewhere on this site earlier (though I also did all this while viewing the Esports channel):
– keep the browser tab with the stream in focus in your browser window
– mute the browser tab, not the YouTube video directly
– keep the stream actually live, don’t let the red dot on the YouTube console become grey (if it falls back, just pull the video to the very end on the red timeline)

Fair enough, it would solve the technical problem. I had in mind to help the “use many dragons” goal.

Btw, I made up another idea for fun (though I totally don’t know if it will be balanced/useable at all):
– make it to somewhere 30-40-50 mana
– say “Costs 1 less for each mana you have spent on other dragons this game” (if you somehow copy it, playing them won’t discount the other copies).
– maybe they should rename it to “Kazaku-Giant” XD

It wont do any good, they will just fill up the decks with the minimal amount of dragons.

IMO, something like this would be better:
– nerf Mana cost to 12 or higher
– “Costs 1 less for each dragon you played this game”

AND

nerf the discover mechanic or the treasure pool somehow.

Is it intended that Demon Hunter And Rogue did not get a new achievement for their mini-set cards?

I don’t think the first priority of Microsoft (or any other investor) would be to twiddle with the tiny delicate mechanics of a not-so-important-part-of-the-pack game just because they bought the huge company around it.
And, why would they do it that way? Less packs bought -> less sweet profit. I share your opinion it would be just fair to do so. Well, the world is totally not fair. At least it has much better graphics than our beloved card game XD

I don’t think this should be counted so simplified. I admit, it is only my impression, but the faction of my enemies seemed highly dependant on game mode. For example, in ranked standrad I mostly met Allience, in Duels, especially Heroic, mostly Horde. Wild ranked looked quite balanced.
If (and it is a big IF!) this expreience is representative, statistical measurements should be corrected at least with game mode, AND the individual mode preferences of participants.

It’s a long shot, I admit, but I have an idea: what if, instead of (or along?) a card back, Diamond Drek’thar will be the reward for the mistery achievement, which used to be appear around half-time of the expansion?…

I see you don’t disenchant redundant cards immediately, but what do you do then?
Just keep all of them and wait for the lucky day when some gets full refund? Or is there some strategy to predict which cards will likely nerfed, and thus worth keeping?

I didn’t think so; like FooBars said, it should appear on the daily slot. I will wait two hours from now on (in my time zone, thats the time of updates, tavern brawl starts and stuff), before I judge.
However, since they tend to be enormously bugged sometimes, its possible to be f*cked up.
In the worst case, if some idiot did this deliberately, I will just rage out and pray to the Old Gods to blast off their heads.

I suggest you to reserve a few (2 or 3) normal Alterac packs, and open them before the golden ones. Blizzard seems to “pre-generate” the cards a few packs ahead (they say it is to prevent the consequences of data losses caused by problems like a server crash). If you open the golden packs just after the mini-set launch, you could get normal Alterac cards from them. Since 10 packs don’t cover the mini-set anyway, you can buffer this out with opening some normal packs first.

Deathwing and its card back is available for real money (14,99 EUR) from 2021. dec. 5 – 2021. dec. 13.

The news about the expansion launch gain much more interest, but I think this should be mentioned somewhere, because it is a long wiated favourite for many people.

(And maybe for the record, helping the prognosis of future availability.)

Feels awful to see several players having all the new cards a day after the expansion launched, which you have to grind over the next three months, just because they can afford to pay the large sum of real money you can’t. I do not criticize them, but many of us who have to play the game actually for free, simply won’t have the chance to build any viable decks using many new cards from the beginning.
