Kibler's Witchwood Baku Fatigue Warrior
Baku’s ability triggers at the start of the game, whereas Elise only shuffles the pack in once you play her. Once Baku’s ability triggers at the start of the game, then you don’t have to have only odd cards in your hand and deck. So the pack doesn’t mess up Baku.
Standout Witchwood Meta Decks After 12 Days
Hey Stonekeep, thanks so much for this article! It’s crazy to see so many viable decks in the meta. It’s been a blast trying out these decks and other, wackier decks on the ladder. Thanks for taking the time to break each one down for us!
Standout Witchwood Meta Decks After 12 Days
Interesting! Any chance I could see a decklist for this? Sounds like an interesting concept!
Toki, Time-Tinker
Holy cow, what a cool effect! I can’t wait to see what shenanigans happen with this.
Voodoo Doll
When you realize that they just gave your classic Control warrior two more copies of hard removal.
Will The Witchwood Bring Warrior Back into the Meta?
Great article! I am really glad to see Warrior getting some love, hopefully we will see even more cards for it. I would love to dust off my old Taunt Warrior deck and get back to slinging 8 damage fireballs.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! =)
Oldblindman's Budget Spell-Hunter.
Hi,
After testing the original deck and then a version with improved cards, I could tell that the deck performed better. I achieved a significantly higher winrate. However, significantly higher in this case means from about 40% to 50%. Even trying radically different cards, such as Crackling Razormaw to give the Creepers windfury or +3 attack while also getting 3 more charge damage, was not able to get me to a solid win percentage.
The main problem this deck has, and it’s been this way since the Starving Buzzard nerf, is that you can’t draw cards. Sure, you have Flares, but you don’t really want to spend 2 mana to draw a card and do nothing else. I think this is a really cool deck idea, but you have to draw your Creeper’s relatively early, and this just isn’t possible. If Hunter gets a card similar to Elven Minstrel in the upcoming expansion, then this deck will be so much better. For now though, I think it’s too inconsistent.
If you continue to use this deck, I would definitely consider adding Flanking Strikes, Candleshots, and maybe a Spellbreaker, which can help get rid of big taunts that mess up your combos. I really hope this kind of midrangy burst Hunter get’s more support in the upcoming expansion!
Thanks for sharing, and GLHF!

Heyo,
This is a really interesting deck! I will be trying it out with a few changes. I agree with Crapcrack that Multi-Shot is not a great card. He suggested that you add Explosive Shot to the deck. However, a card that I would really love to see in the deck is Flanking Strike. It’s a spell (so it doesn’t mess with trying to find Creeper’s via Stitched Tracker), it removes a minion (which is good), and you get a solid body (which this deck needs). It is also a common, so it is very easy to add to this budget list. It may be strong enough to run two copies of it.
Another replacement I am going to test is replacing On the Hunt with Candleshot. While Candleshot does not have a body with it, it does provide more removal potential against minions like Patches and pesky Murlocs.
I will let you know how this deck performs with these cards!
J4CKIECHAN's Kobolds and Catacombs Midrange Recruit Paladin ft. Crystal Lion
It’s a Silver Hand Recruit deck. That’s why it says “Recruit”.
Kobolds and Catacombs Survival Guide - Launch Time, Tips, & Information
If you are in Europe or the Asias, it says it comes out December 8th, compared to December 7th in the North America region. I don’t know if that makes a difference.
The Kobolds & Catacombs Cards That Hearthstone Community Members are Excited to Play!
This was pretty interesting! It was cool to see what cards everyone was excited about. I’m hyped for Kathrena Winterwisp. Can Big Hunter exist? I also am excited for Guild Recruiter. The first time I saw the card, I said to myself “oh man, this can fish out my Cloaked Huntress!”. Fun things to try. Thank you for this article!

Actually it wouldn’t be card pack RNG, it’s just RNG.
Cmon “just RNG”, 4 out of 9. I believe.

And I want to play a Paladin handbuff deck.
And Kingsbane Rogue so I have a reason to run weird weapon buff cards.
And Big Warrior seems fun too.

In all honesty, most of the legendaries in this expansion are a little lackluster, especially the weapons. That makes me a little sad, but I am also glad, as I can craft the legendaries that are good and have more dust left over for epic and legendary cards for my meme decks.
Big Hunter is going to be the first deck I play. And now I kind of want the Hunter weapon as my free weapon, so I can see if Lonely Hunter is worth playing.
Best Kobolds and Catacombs Decks - The Top Deck Lists for the Kobolds Expansion (KAC)
Wow. Did you just offend Hunter mains AND this awesome site in ONE post?
Here, I will spell it out for you. That post was a J-O-K-E. I have nothing against aggro or other classes. I just want everyone to be on a level playing field, not with three classes on top of the mountain and the rest of them scattered up and down the mountain and then Hunter lurking in the lowest, darkest cave, crying.
There was no reason to make an unhelpful, argumentative post that promotes other websites.
That was also a J-O-K-E.

I swear that this started out as a helpful, constructive post.
Hello Sevensins,
Thanks for your responses! In answer to your questions, I would consider adding in a Ysera instead of a Sleepy Dragon. It would definitely improve the control matchup, especially against Priest. However, there is a good chance it wouldn’t perform as well for the following reasons:
1: Paladin decks are still extremely strong and popular on the ladder, and having every possible Taunt against them is still extremely important. That chance that Dragonhatcher doesn’t pull a guaranteed Taunt out of your deck is significant in matchups against aggressive decks.
2: Sleepy Dragon is also the largest Taunt minion in the deck, and having two of them can all but guarantee that your opponent will not be able to hit your other minions. You generally want to be recruiting Sleepy Dragon over Primordial Drake, so reducing the chances that you pull one of the strongest cards in the deck probably isn’t a good idea.
As for your question about swapping out Arsenal for Brawl, I think that is an interesting choice. Arsenal can be super annoying if you did draw all of your weapons. I think you could run either, but before you just swap out Arsenal for Brawl, weighing the pros and cons of each is good. There were a couple reasons I didn’t include Brawl. The first is that you really do not want to be playing board clear on turn 5 because that is when you want to be playing what you got off of your Scout. Also, your opponent will usually always have a minion survive your turn 5 Brawl and the only minion you have played is Scout (which is likely dead). This opens the door for classes like Paladin to play large buff spells or other synergistic minions on the minion that lived (Lightfused Stegodon if it is a Silver Hand Recruit, Spikeridged Steed, Blessing of Kings, etc.). Brawl is also more annoying later in the game because it fully clears your own minions as well, whereas Arsenal can destroy the opposing board but leave yours alive because of the large amount of high health minions in the deck. I do feel like Brawl is an option to explore, as it is cheaper and bypasses annoying Divine Shield Minions. However, just taking out one Arsenal would make the second Arsenal not worth playing. If you wanted to run Brawl, then I would make the following changes:
– 2x Deadly Arsenal
– 1x Gorehowl
+ 2x Brawl
+ 1x Ysera
I think 1 Gorehowl is still extremely useful for burst damage and single target removal. The extra slot can be filled with Ysera because it is a really solid minion in this deck and no longer requires us to take out a Sleepy Dragon.
I hope this answered your questions! I will probably try out the changes I mentioned and see how they perform in the deck. Thanks for the suggestions!
