Thijs' Secrets Hunter (Kindly Grandmother, Cloaked Huntress, Barnes) - August 2016, Season 29
Only 5 in a row you say? I’m sure you took into account that rank 4 and 6 also have stars lol. Don’t wear yourself out jumping to conclusions haha
Thijs' Secrets Hunter (Kindly Grandmother, Cloaked Huntress, Barnes) - August 2016, Season 29
I’m a gold Hunter and I just went on an insane losing streak with this deck, from rank 4 back to 6. I’m curious to know what rank you guys were playing at? Maybe I’m just getting bad match-ups though, but it seems like a lot of cards are dead in your hand, like Houndmaster, I’m constantly forced to play him on his own because beast synergy is so low. I’m going to keep trying this deck though…
Firebat's Cloaked Huntress Face Hunter (August 2016, Season 29)
Is a deck that runs no charge minions and double freezing trap really a Face Hunter? Sure It’s aggressive but I wouldn’t say its face. But that’s just my thoughts..
Hearthstone Classic Card Set - Which Cards Could Still Be Nerfed?
I 100% agree with adding cards to the basic/classic set because some classes really got the raw end of the stick with standard in that respects. Like for example Mage has an amazing basic/classic set. They have card draw, board clear and some of the best basic/classic spells, minions and secrets in the game. Hunter on the other hand, while they do have some amazing basic/classic cards, have NO CARD DRAW! Flare is very situational and Starving Buzzard, well that’s got to be the most unplayable card in the history of Hearthstone. Hunter will ALWAYS be Face and Midrange if Blizzard doesn’t give them card draw. Joust was NOT the answer to that Blizzard! Joust just doesn’t work. Hunters simply can’t go beyond Midrange without some way to draw cards. Yes I understand that everyone is scared of a Face Hunter with card draw but Aggro Shaman is more aggressive than Face Hunter and even they have card draw. You could give Hunters a card that draws cards, but also changes Hunter’s hero power at the same time. Like 4 mana spell “Draw two cards, change your hero power to restore 2 health to any friendly beast”. Face Hunter can’t use that, but Midrange and Control definitely could.

Whirlwind effects, which warrior will always have, do not require trading and they go around taunts. Plus the other player will often damage his/her own minions themselves whilst trading. 1 mana remove any minion in the game is BROKEN! It really does need a nerf.
Kindly Grandmother
Dude Hunter hasn’t been a cancer for about 12 months, and when was the last time anyone saw a Face Hunter? Face Hunter isn’t really played anymore. Midrange Hunter IS NOT Face Hunter. Face Hunter goes face, Midrange controls the board. And while we are on the topic of cancer, I’ve come to realize that the word ‘cancer’ is used to describe any deck that people have trouble beating. Here a few decks that I’ve seen called ‘cancer’: pre-nerf Patron Warrior, Secret Paladin, Aggro Shaman, Freeze Mage, Midrange Druid, Warlock Zoo, old school Miracle Rogue, pre-nerf soulfire warlock, Tempo Mage… list goes on. So basically you should just play whatever you want because it doesn’t matter what class or deck you play, you will be called cancer at some point or another because players like chewy here need to git guud.
Amnesiac's Ancestral N'Zoth Shaman (June 2016, Season 27)
Why Far Sight? Seems like a waste of a card slot..
C'Thun Druid Deck List Guide (June 2016, Standard) - Season 27
Get guud. My win rate with this deck is pretty damn high and I’m currently rank 5. I find that this deck does struggle a little against Warlock Zoo. But that’s when you forget the ramp game and play on curve. Choose the 2/2 with Mire Keeper in that match up and focus on removing everything they play so they can’t get their giants out easy. I also run Fandral Staghelm in place of 1 Living Roots for extra ‘choose one’ value.

@ Evident. Why not run Crazed Worshipper over Druid of the Claw? They have almost the same stats, fill the same slot and serve the same puropse. Yeah sure you lose the option to charge, but Crazed Worshipper has C’Thun buff value. I think it would be better to also run Fandral Staghelm if you’re going to have Druid of the Claw over Crazed Worshipper?
Princess Huhuran
Let’s say that you Highmane also has infest and explorers hat. It will trigger all these deathrattles at once yeah? Also I’m guessin that it’s a targeted effect, as in you choose the minion you want to trigger as you play this card?
Thijs' Season 25 Astral Communion Druid
The idea of this deck seems fun and all, but in reality it actually isn’t much fun at all. I played maybe 30 or so games with this deck (a few different high end cards) and it goes either of 4 ways.
1. You don’t get to play astral until turn 3 (coin) or 4. Then you spend the rest of the game having every minion you play removed (shadow word death, execute, sap, entomb etc.) or you continuously draw useless cards (e.g wrath on an empty board or wrath do 1 damage draw a 9 cost minion) so that by the time you finally start getting somewhere it’s turn 10 and they also have 10 mana but unlike you they have a hand full of cards, an established board, and you are nearly dead. Game over.
2. You’re playing aggro, which is pretty much 95% of games. Turn 2 Astral Communion. Sweet! Turn 6 you’re dead.
3. Turn 1 Innervate, coin, Astral Communion. Living the dream. Boom! They concede. Well that’s no fun.
4. Turn 1 Innervate, coin, Astral Communion. Living the dream. Opponent didn’t concede!! Whaaaattt???? P.S This almost NEVER happens. Everyone I’ve played instantly concedes on a turn 1 Astral. This is the realm of unicorns.
Conclusion. 0 fun to be had. You either stuff around waiting to play Astral and lose or you live the dream and they concede turn 1.
Thanks for the tips. I swapped out Houndmaster for Infested wolf because of the lack of activators, plus Infested Wolf has better synergy with Barnes and Kill Command. That seems to have improved my win rate.
@Alsozatch I actually hate Face Hunter and I’ve been wanting Blizzard to give Hunter control cards and card draw for as long as I can remember. I’ve always played Midrange and Control Hunter (when it works).
