Legend INFINITY Priest
to be honest, losing early board removal hurts the most in the current aggro meta…. shadow word horror would have been reeeeaaaalllll nice.
Thinking of building a dragon build to see if it can compete more in the early game against the high tempo decks…. Rogue is currently my biggest issue.
Mossy Horror
People need to stop saying “LADY IN WHITE” for every card that has high health and low attack.
Can we remember that LIW is legendary, most likely not tutorable, and you cannot run a deck around it fully?!?!?
By the time you Lady in white in to this, Dude Pally has done lethal (as LIW doesn’t have taunt), or buffed them to 3/3s making this irrelevant.
This is a good card, and will see play as a tech or as a piece of a combo, it is not broken, nor crap. Good cards like this are positive for the game. They encourage deck design and variability. What it shouldn’t do is make people blurt out best case scenarios…
Dire Frenzy
I’ve been toying with a deck that runs only king dread as a beast and abominables with play dead. Although losing barnes hurts that idea heavily
Dire Frenzy
Agreed about big hunter!
Could even be part of combo with cube and katherina or vanguard with charged devilsaur
Woodcutter's Axe
This is a good card. on par with other 2 mana weapons and certainly helps fill the void left by the FWA nerf.
HOWEVER… I have a bone to pick… or a log to chop on this one…
Blizzard is making the same mistake it does with every expansion. Simply put, there is not enough cards printed per class each set. This leads to some classes being abolished for an entire season or more.
Here’s how it goes: They make a new key word, or idea, often push it on individual classes, and the mechanic doesn’t work well enough to make it competitive, leading to this class pulling from half the cards as other classes that didn’t get a mechanic rammed down their throat. Here are some examples: handbuff (especially in hunter and warrior), freeze in shaman, the entire inspire mechanic, the majority of suicide warlock (self dmg and disco), etc… I’m sure there is others.
This could be fixed quite easily. Mark the card pool bigger. You don’t have to make a ton of other legendaries and epics, but a solid pool of decent cards and spells on top of your experimental mechanics. Blizzard would make more money anyways and players would be happy to not have their favourite class effectively eliminated for the better part of a year. It would make the meta more dynamic, and allow for multiple archetypes per class for a longer period of time.
Don;t get me wrong, I realize they make this game for everyone, casual and legend players, but as a legend player and long time MTG player (since Beta), I find this very frustrating.
This card might be great! might be completely useless. This is what I hate about it. It’s a 5 star card if this mechanic gets played, and skyrockets warrior out of the basement. And if this mechanic just can’t cut it, then they’ve put warrior in the dungeon and threw away the key.
Hearthstone Competitive Ladder - Theorycrafting A New, Improved Ranked Format
Well written.
As a somewhat player that has played since the beginning, I find the current system is slightly detering me from playing.
The grind from 5 to legend is stupid for no reward. My time is more valuable than that (as fun as the game is to play).
Can’t wait for the new system at the moment, at least I won’t have to waste time going from 15 back to 5 every month
Brian Kibler's Quest Deathrattle Dragon Priest (February 2018)
it is in order to fight off combo priest and cube locks big turn
Legend Ouroboros Priest
Cheers!
Glad you’re enjoying it.
I’m all about finding the odd deck that works and can be tier 1.1!
Legend Ouroboros Priest
I think so yes. I mean in the end it is a unique card that can’t be mimicked, but at the same time, it can be considered a “win more” card. I find i most often use it later game in combination with twilights call or an egg or very late game with a cube.
I don;t have a specific/ideal replacement… I’d say tech would be a good replacement based of your meta and rank.
Legend Ouroboros Priest
Absolutely.
I’ve been considering removing deathwing. He has won me some games, but he’s also been a “win more” or dead card in my hand. He is also discoverable using netherspite as an option (although i prefer to search for duskbreaker and drakonid)
I would consider adding tech first, depending on your meta… mass dispel for cubes, nerubian unraveler vs priest (although this could take the skulking geist slot), i might even consider mindbreaker to slow down combo priest for a turn.
I also toyed around with one copy of psychic scream for games against cubelock, so that could be an option. Or if you are facing a fast aggro meta, perhaps a copy of shadow word horror (which synergizes with your eggs)
Last option would be to put in another bomb or run deathknight…
Unlimited charge!
Love this deck!
I have been toying with abominable for a while. I think there is a ton of potential if you can get to the late game. For me, this will be the control hunter that could make it.
Dire Mole
I climbed to legend this last season using hungry crab as the secondary one drop to alleycat. Never once killed a murloc with it. Solely used it as a 1 drop consistency that was a beast and didn’t die easily. This fills a void that is greatly needed in hunter.
To My Side!
ya when you track, you don;t choose it so you can remove it from ever being played
Cheers!
I had added at the end of the description that the egg might be a useful addition… I just haven’t pulled it from a pack and am not sure if it’s worth the dust. My opinion on it however is that by the time you get the combo going, you’re only going to get 2 dragons out of it as your board has 5 minions on it. However, it might be a solid way to get through the early game.
Shadowreaper isn’t a bad idea, biggest issue is that the battlecry has little to no effect in current meta. I think there’s a way to make a spell priest with egg and anduin, add velen and mind blast in to that and givr…. but at that point, you might want to just run the velen combo deck that’s floating around, as it’s optimized to take advantage of that…
