Wretched Tutor
Unless you return it to your hand and play it again, and play a new spell, or create a copy of it..
Rogues can do nasty stuff with this card. Especially in Wild.
Frazzled Freshman
In Standard= Sort of Meh, but perhaps.. erh..?
In Wild= Are you kidding me? What sort of oxen-droppings is this? A couple of kinds of priest decks will love this card! A certain quest priest in particular. Yes, I am looking at you. Something with 4 health to start healing as soon as you are able..
Devolving Missiles
This can mess up so many decks..
.. but its not really a board clear, and if you are unlucky, those minions might just be more powerful than what your opponent played, or simply annoying; the odds of at least one of them turning into something with Divine Shield, or Poisonous, or even Taunt in the right circumstances..
.. 1 mana is too cheap for this card, 3 mana would be better, but overall, I am not sure how good this card actually is. I mean, if you played this because your opponent had a better board, or board control, he might still have a better board or board control.
People might think it is a 4-5 star now, but it might turn out to be a 3 star card in the end.
Animated Broomstick
I believe this card is so good it is guaranteed to be nerfed in some way, either by having its cost increased, or by having it effect altered.
Animated Broomstick
I don’t think you need a deck to specifically fit this card. Any deck, even a mediocre deck, that has the ability to throw out a couple of minions on the same turn, and then this, could use it to react to something their opponent has done. Heck, even throwing down a single large minion combined with this card may be good if you need to deal with something quickly. There is very few reasons not to run this card in your deck. It’s very likely to enable you to remove one or more enemy minions from the table, and possibly without loosing any minions yourself.
Desert Obelisk
Mage could do something; especially in wild.
Archmage Arugal, Echo of Medivh, Molten Reflection, Simulacrum, Duplicate.. perhaps even Splitting Image (naaah..)
However I cannot see any way it would be a good deck. You would have to build the entire deck around using these cards, and its just not going to work. It would lose even vs Easy Training dummy decks.
Conjurer's Calling
Potentially, if you had a mage with a Deathrattle minion you really wanted to trigger? Or perhaps to mess with a resurrection priest slightly? Or to kill off a really strong enemy card?
Potentially you could use this in an agro mage after you attacked to replace a damaged minion with two full health ones?
It could be used to remove that Doomsayer that is otherwise difficult to remove. And its just a cheap minion as well?
Not really sure where the use of this spell lies. It has an interesting effect, but its not a typical mage spell, and its not really beneficial?
Nozari
It’s.. an interesting legendary.
Useful? That remains to be seen.
It is very situational; you need to have survived until turn 9 or 10 in a game where you have taken more damage than your opponent. Perhaps your deck will begin to out-value your opponent’s deck, and perhaps, just perhaps, this card buys you the time you need to turn the game around in your favor.
– But it won’t turn the game around on its own. It is not a game winner. It only works if you are actually the underdog. It is a card made to try to pull a win from a likely defeat..
.. not sure about this card at all.
Messenger Raven
I just really like this card!
It won’t actually be useful for every deck, but there are many decks in which it will find a home. It does grant value, and depending on what mage minion you discover that value could be immense. It is gambling a bit, playing with fate.
I just really like this card!
Dragon Speaker
I know a good thing when I see one, and in standard, Dragon Paladin looks like its going to be a thing! That is nice! I like diversity in deck construction and there will be plenty of ideas of how to build a deck including this card and dragons.
As for Wild; this card combined with a few other old handbuffs and dragons. The trick will be to find just the right balance of buffcards, spells and dragons. Oh, if you can pull if off it will be glorious!
I am in love with this card. Heck, I am in love with the card art on this as well! Bonus point!
Mass Resurrection
My Wild Deathrattle Priest says “Yes please!”
Heck, in any priest deck that uses either large minions, deathrattle minions or runs of stealing minions, this is pretty nice for late game. With a single card (and 9 mana) you get back three minions. For a often spell heavy priest deck, this is solid gold!
4 stars from me!
Scarlet Purifier
One of the slightly more underrated cards, though it is now only available in Wild.
Put this card into a deck which has Consecration or Equality and against Deathrattle decks it can help ensure Equality combo with a card. In certain situation it can also sabotage your opponent by destroying Deathrattle cards before he can pull of his combos. Of course, this card is limited by only targeting Deathrattle minions, and here lies the counter argument;
– What if you face a deck with few or no Deathrattle cards in it?
Scarlet Purifier is then a straight up 4/3 minion for 3 cost, an OK body with good attack and average cost. If you recognize that the deck you face is not a typical Deathrattle deck you can play him early for that tiny bit of board presence, and either go face, or if you want to, trade with it. Even without Deathrattle creatures on table it is still OK, not super, not magnificent, but OK.
Scarlet Purifier is the Average Joe of Paladin decks, if you want to have that extra bit of omph and find yourself wanting to remove low health Deathrattle minions or even single minion, without having to trade. Paladins lack removal spells, so being able to kill a 2HP Deathrattle minion for 3 mana and get a 4/3 body is actually a steal.
Mojomaster Zihi
Not good? Really? If you play this on turn 7 or 8 within a low-cost agro deck, this might just buy you the one or two turn you need to bag the win, and it will sabotage a lot of different control decks that needs 8+ mana to pull of various win combos. Play this before your opponent’s turn 10 to reset him from playing some potent different legendaries. It might be a 3/5 in Standard, but its a 4.5/5 in Wild.
Overlord's Whip
Dealing one damage to friendly minions when they enter play isn’t necessarily a penalty. There are quite a lot of neutral and warrior cards that are either empowered or activate an effect when damaged.
Acolyte of Pain, Axe Flinger, Eternium Rover, Val’kyr Summoner and Grim Patron springs to mind. And then there are minions that trigger when something is damaged, like Armor Smith and Frothing Berserker. Then there are all the enrage minions, like Grommash Hellscream, Amani Berserker and Raging Worgen.
This might not be a very good card for constructed standard, but it might find a place in Wild, where its effect can be a benefit.
Necrium Vial
It’s an interesting card for wild, simply due to the greater diversity of cards; playing this on Sylvanas, Sneed’s Old Shredder or Cairne Bloodhoof could be a game changer. It also works well with the new Rogue legendary this expansion; Myra Rotspring. One could even have fun with Feugen and Stalagg.
– I might be wrong, but I think this will see use, certainly in Wild, but also in standard.
Also, if you are into Jade, Rogue Jade which is simply meme in Wild might get a nice boost from this as well, Arya Blackpaw or the Jade Swarmer minion. Suddenly so much more Rogue Jade!
Meteorologist
It might be that paying 6 for a 3/3 body is really weak, and even if you would do 7-8 random damage, if that is spread out it might not achieve much. The cards is really situational. If there are too many targets, or you do not have that many cards in your hand, but need to play it, it will achieve little.
– Not saying it is terrible, but it is niche.
Supercollider
I don’t think its a bad weapon, but it is a situational weapon. That you might take a lot of damage using it can be countered with armor. I think this weapon might be pretty good in wild, where there are more cards that can help you gain armor. It doesn’t really need big targets either. And its 1 point of damage can ensure a minion dying from attacking its neighbor, in some cases it can insure both die if one had 1hp to many.
Its not a superb weapon, its not a standard format meta-making weapon, but it is an ok weapon that may see use in Wild. I can see myself having one in my wild warrior deck, and that doesn’t even build that much armor.
Also a nice card for warlock, especially in wild. Can pull out some early 8+ cost cards.
