Magtheridon
Look, it is a very powerful card, but it gives your opponent all of the initiative.
If they need a board wipe, they just run all their wardens into your minion. They probably have saved a single target removal for your free 12/12 if you unleash it.
1/5 stars, I hope this sees play.
Imprisoned Vilefiend
The card’s not great, but I think we might be selling it short. This card (and other dormant minions) gives us a way to play a minion in the face of a doomsayer/imprisoned antaen/imprisioned observer.
Kobold Stickyfinger
Do we know how stealing a weapon works?
I struggle seeing this as better than harison jones, but it’s not terrible.
Nozdormu the Timeless
The card isn’t about getting mana or a (potentially free?) 8/8.
It’s saying that it is now turn 10, last turn you played a mountain/sea giant. The game is diffrent at turn 10. All of your removal can be played. Aggro decks probably just drop their entire hand on the board. They are designed to win earlier in the game. Control on the other hand hopefully uses this card. Control struggles with the early turns.
Though if the last 2 give your opponent mana cards are indicative(duskfallen aviana and biology project) we have nothing to worry about.
HSTD Tombs of Terror Giveaway! Win One of the Ten Deluxe Bundles (Full Adventure + Card Back + Random Legendary)
don’t worry, each task you complete is worth 10 entries…
so it’s more like a .5% chance?
Hunter's Pack
Thanks for the advice stonekeep.
Of course a tempo deck would not want this card, it doesn’t pressure the opponent.
I use “tempo” as a measure of activated resources. As this card turns mana into cards, I believe it generates my variety of “tempo”.
Hunter's Pack
My issue with how this card interacts with hunter class identity is that it is a very efficient form of draw. In Classic and Basic, Hunter card advantage tools either offset their loss of tempo, or they trade virtual card advantage for card advantage. This card, and Master’s call before it slightly reduce the flexibility of the deck somewhat, but otherwise they cleanly turn your 3 mana into 3 cards.
Hunter's Pack
Top decking this turn 7 is great; worst case scenario is this -> Misdirection -> Hero power.
Ok, that is dreadful…
But a +2 to card advantage for 3 mana is Never a tempo loss.
Bazaar Mugger
Lluadian, I think that we’re both on the same page in terms of this not being overcosted. The battlecry may be a smidge better than blink fox even?
Thankyou for defending this card. I thought that everyone could see some strength in this.
Desert Obelisk
I don’t think that the question should be whether the effect is strong. Getting 4 or five or three then three on board wins the game.
The question is how do we play 3 of them in one turn? Have 3 floops in hand? doubble sommoning portal?
Bazaar Mugger
I don’t think that the blink fox comparison is a good one to make. Blink fox sees play due to it being a solid body that draws a card, creating lots of tempo. Instead, Bazaar Mugger is trying to be removal and card draw, creating a decent amount of anti-tempo. it’s still a decent card, but i don’t think that it will show up too much outside thief rouge.
Hidden Oasis
Umm, I think everyone is evaluating this wrong…
Like, I agree that this card is insane, but it’s a 6 mana 6/6 minion with taunt. And it’s a spell.
This will go into token druid, not heal druid.
(And, yeah, if quest druid is in standard, this goes in. I’m not quite convinced that we need to turn the quest on for this/nourish yet.)
Dinotamer Brann
I’ve had a bit of time to think about this.
The sucess of this card in standard depends on the strength of aggro and midrange decks. If something can keep shuffle decks teir 2, then yes, sometimes Reno will be turned off.
Psychic scream did not mean the end of even shaman, and the occasional bomb warrior won’t stop Brann either.
Sir Finley of the Sands
I was trying to work out the worst 3 to choose from…
Is the silver hand worse than soul tap?
Reno the Relicologist
Wait, which mage card has a better effect?
Meteorologist has worse stats, less damage, and dosn’t always hit minions.
Sir Finley of the Sands
I Really like this.
1) it’s a cool callback to finley.
2) it gives paladin an alternitive to quest(whatever that may be) that could fight the other upgraded HPs.
3) we can tutor for it.
Though, do you choose fireblast rank 2, soul tap or totemic slam?
Elise the Enlightened
Annother druid legendary that increases our hand size? How much does blizzard want us to play mountain giant?
I think that the rewards need to be viewed in light of the new economy and new ranks.
Firstly, rank 10 in the old system got converted to platinum 5 equivalent… We shall wait and see if this is accurate?
More to the point, silver 5 gives 4 duplicated protected rares and 4 duplicate protected commons. So if you really want a card, you can dust these for a common and rare and you’re in a similar state to old rank 15. But the next few packs you open are guaranteed to not have those 4 cards in them.
