Cloak of Shadows
It’s pretty much like Time Out. Time Out was never nearly as good as Ice Block so don’t get your hopes up, but this does seem like a functional card, just the current rogue decks are aggro, and this seems best fit for a control or combo deck.
Felsteel Executioner
Okay but hear me out. This card is bad. The only more expensive cards in Soul Demon Hunter all synergize with Weapons and hero attacks, with the exception of Kayn, Skull of Guldan, and Malicia. Why replace Marrow Slicer and Aldrachi Warblades with this Weapon that could very well be just a 3 mana 4/3. Aggro DH wouldn’t run this because it costs too much. Demon Hunter just has better tools right now.
Oh My Yogg!
Finally. Paladin has so few good secrets, but this is like a pseudo Counterspell for just 1 mana. Seems really fun and really good
Tickatus
Control Fatigue Warlock is singlehandedly a Tier 1 contention with this card. With all the other great Cards that have been revealed for Control Warlock this is absolutely terrifying.
Optimistic Ogre
I love it when Custom Hearthstone cards make it into Hearthstone. At the end of the day, it’s a fun memey game and this perfectly captures that. Well done Team 5.
Cascading Disaster
Control Warlock is getting some good tools. You’re always running Crazed Netherwing, so this will get corrupt quite often. With the 4 mana 4/3 deal 2 damage to all minions, this deck could be good
Deathmatch Pavilion
The card itself is not bad, it’s a two mana 6/4. If I could play that I personally would, but it just has absolutely no support in Shaman right now. This is a throwaway card at the moment.
Deathmatch Pavilion
If shaman had a one or two mana weapon that was good like pre-nerf Spirit Claws and current Jade Claws, then oh my god, two mana 6/4 that would the Aggro Shaman dream. That just doesn’t exist. Keep this card in mind as it is fantastic, but in the current meta this will see no play what so ever.
Tenwu of the Red Smoke
Not as good as you think. To people saying you can run Combo Cards, look at Rogue’s current decklist. In what way can you cheat out Malygos or other combo cards. There is no way to do that. The current lists of Rogue (Secret, Stealth, and Weapon) are all far too aggro for this minion. That leaves Galakrond Rogue, which this could see play in, but I don’t see why given the reduction by Galakrond itself is fine. I actually don’t think this card sees play in the current meta.
Occult Conjurer
Hm. The problem is mage doesn’t have good secrets right now. Wild Aggro Secret Mage has Explosive Runes, Duplicate, and the all mighty Ice Block, but standard Aggro Secret Mage really only has Counterspell and Netherwind Portal. These are good, but I don’t they’ll be enough for this card to work. The current Secret that was revealed seems poor to me, but with one more good Secret, I could see this deck working. Here’s to hoping.
Deck of Lunacy
I feel like this card won’t break the game. You probably run it in current Small Spell Mage because it provides you with a ton of value. Keep in mind after you draw and play one spell, this card has saved you 3 mana and broke even. So one can imagine that a ton of these spells being reduced can be great. Unfortunately, after the nerf, small spell mage is Tier 3, and I don’t see one inconsistent legendary you have to draw early to push the deck up, but it definitely seems like a worthy inclusion.
Bladed Lady
This with a Marrowslicer and one Twin slice, a Soulshard Lapidary and a Hero Power, or an Aldrachi WarBlades with two Twin slices means you get a 6 Attack swing with a free 6/6 on 6 mana. DH currently is a more midrangey style deck so that’s not clunky and synergizes perfectly with the current DH lists. Yes the DH current list is good, but I would personally cut a couple of cards for such power swing turns which aren’t hard to achieve.
Bladed Lady
Wow this is amazing. Just play Marrow Slicer and 1 Twin Slice and then you can get free and powerful value. Soul Demon Hunter is already Tier 1, and this is an easy inclusion so 5 stars.
Wicked Whispers
We would need more discard support cards for this to work. The only reason discard worked back in the day is because we had the Golem, Doomgaurd, and the Imp. And no this card is not synergizing with Boneweb Egg. This is only good and Zoo and if you want your 1 mana two 3/2’s you have to run no one drops and this could also discard itself. Shriek could’ve worked in Control, but this is for Aggro so yeah this is actually bad. 1/5.
Il'gynoth
This card will be great and fits perfectly into Soul Demon Hunter, which is already a Tier 1 deck. You can double the damage of your Aldrachi Warblades and cutting a few cards for Eye Beam (Which was already being run in fringe version of Soul DH) won’t hurt your win rate. All this while being a 4/6 essentially makes this a card to be reckoned with so 5/5 stars. It’s a fun card that’s also really cool. I already like this one.
Horrendous Growth
It’s nice and all, and a fun meme card, but you’re going to be playing this on like turn 8 or beyond for good value and I’d rather be killing my opponent or be a stabilized control deck by then, so this card just doesn’t make sense. It’s still a cool card.
Petting Zoo
Remember pre-nerf Emerald Spellstone. This is that for 3 mana. 6/5 stars this will redefine how Secret/Face hunter is being played to put more emphasis on the Secret side of things. Terrifying and already my pick for most likely to be nerfed.
Revenant Rascal
I think this is very underrated. I think this card is excellent at slowing down most decks and is pretty much an auto-include in all Warlock decks. That being said it’s not good enough to make a Warlock Deck, and Warlock is still a horrible class, so 2/5, but should Warlock get some more good cards this reveal, expect this to see a ton of play.
Ancient Void Hound
Big chonky boy for Big Demon Hunter. That was like a tier 3 deck, and this seems like a natural fit. Possibly pushing it to Tier 2? Really cool effect regardless.
this is weaker and more situational than foxy fraud for more mana. no chance this sees play.
