Seek Guidance
– Only C’Thun Druid plays Celestial Alignment. Any other Druid ruins their deck by adding this card just for this single matchup, which Clown Druid for example will win just by pure board presence usually.
– Agreed, Control Warlock may be a counter to this deck – but may also accelerate their doom. Usually Control Priest uses because Control Warlock wins the fatigue game or burns a C’Thun piece (given Priest plays C’Thun). In order to consistently burn the Shard, they will have to wait until the bottom 5 cards. Guess what – Priest will play Illucia until then and use Tickatus themselves. So really not so easy.
– Polkelt is a good call, but it may just be too weak in the meta game against aggro decks. Primordial Protector might be a fine combo piece though.
My prediction: With the recent Priest nerfs, it will be difficult for Priest to get in the OTK against any reasonable aggro/tempo deck. It will all depend on the other unrevealed priest cards though.
Seek Guidance
Against all Odds is a decent 5 cost card, which you might want to play as a Control OTK Priest. There are also decent 5 cost neutral cards for Priest, e.g. Moon Fang (which might actually see play with Elekk Mount). Also, there will still be the option to discover some 5 cost card. I sort of agree though – it might be the 5 cost cards that will be difficult to get in.
Oh My Yogg!
I guess any Dude Paladin (which will surely be at least Tier 2) will run this card to prevent Holy Nova/Fan of Knives/etc. clears.
Mask of C'Thun
This card sucks. Priestess of Fury without the body, costs 1 more and 4 more damage. Not really worth it. I guess you like this card coming out of a Puzzle Box though.
Inconspicuous Rider
Right, any midrange Mage deck will play this card and run 2 Ice Barriers and 2 Flamewards. You then have very good changes to fend off aggro decks. Don’t think this card will see play in Rogue or Hunter though. Maybe Highlander Rogue, if that sees play in the next expansion. We will see.
Grand Totem Eys'or
It’s already quite good! Totem Shaman might become THE aggro tier 1 deck of the next expansion
Foxy Fraud
Fantastic Rogue Card, finally! Rogue’s biggest weakness was that his game usually needed 3~5 turns to warm up. This card will cure that. Galakrond Rogue and Secret Rogue will highly benefit.
Deck of Lunacy
Guys, this is madness… You build a classical Small Spell Mage, which already by itself performs great. Then, when you get this card you get your 1-3 mana spells turn into 4-6 mana spells. I don’t need to say there is sick potential with this…
Cloak of Shadows
Idk man, with Galakrond it’s a 10 mana play. If you play Galakrond that late, you’re usually dead by that time against any aggro deck. I don’t really like this card, I think it’s too slow. 2 mana would be debatable, but then again I don’t see the potential. Unless Rogue gets some sick 2 turn KO plays this extension.
Potion of Illusion
Also, let’s not forget this card will appear in Spell Lackeys discovery pool. It might really save the value game at later stages against more control opponents.
Potion of Illusion
I definitely see this being viable in Rogue, mainly in Highlander though, as the Secret/Stealth Galakrond Rogue is pretty refined already. This card can copy Zephrys as early as turn 4 (with Preparation) or turn 6. Turn 10 can see Kronx + Potion of Illusion plays. If you play Alex and it manages to survive, you can close out the game for good with Potion of Illusion + 1 mana Alex. Also, imagine this on a board with Questing Adventurer or Edwin. The combo potential is great, as also Rogue is often ahead on board and doesn’t have to fear the loss of tempo too much.
I only see a problem when you fall behind on board at the very beginning and drew this card early, as it will reduce your viable plays in these turns.
Still, this is a very solid card that wil definitely make the cut in Highlander Rogue.
Thus, 4/5.
Furious Felfin
Well, 3 Mana 4/2 with Rush AND deal 1 damage by attacking. Or: 2 mana 4/2 rush if you attacked with a weapon you equipped before. Either way, this is simply a good card, 5/5 stars.
Archspore Msshi'fn
No, definitely not. This is complete anti-synergy. Embiggen increases your minion costs by 1, making the prime unplayable. I think this is more plausible in some sort of Highlander Druid or simply in Quest Druid, who wouldn’t complain about a turn 4 taunt with decent stats against aggro decks.
Activate the Obelisk
Some kind of mid range deck I am sure. The reborn mechanics, the 2/3 minion restoring two adjacent minions to full health in combination with Deathrattle mechanics etc. seem to be valid ideas to make the quest work. And also: Except for Acolyte, Priest rarely has a good 1 drop (maybe zoo/mech Priest with their 1/1 mech). So turn 1 can often be started by playing this quest.
The real problem for Priest is that they don’t have any early game mass removal. It’s always multi-card combos with Wild Pyro. The absence of Duskbreakers turn 4 aggro removal potential is hurting Priest even more the Psycic Scream’s absence. And let’s be honest, the new 9 mana removal doesn’t cut it, Mass Hysteria is too unreliable and Holy Nova has always been shit.

Sorry, but checking hsreplay will easily reveal Priest as the class with the lowest win rate right now. Mech Priest is okay’ish, but is often times too slow against aggro decks like Murloc Shaman or various Hunter Decks and it doesn’t create enough value to outvalue Control Warrior. Silence and Ressurect Priest have their great matchups, so does Nomi Priest. Still, none of those decks have the real punch right now, they lack some consistency as well as constructive win conditions (just remember the golden times of Highlander Priest!). Thus, I really think Priest needed some solid enhancement and this expansion seems to deliver exactly that.
Honestly, nerf Hunter harder! Hunter is the absolute oppressive class these days. It’s one of those toxic decks which does it all: Control, go face, have absolute bonkers combo plays. It’s been no fun playin HS these past weeks due to Hunter.
