Great ! Hooktusk has won me quite a few games, works surprisingly well with Sahket Sapper and allows you to come back against big boards when you don’t have Zephrys. Hooktusk was what I was missing in my initial build and now the deck wins more than it loses, so yes, I would say it is essential.
I’ve made a few changes from the list though.
– Sandbinder for Novice, to get Zephrys, which is en elemental
– Daring escape for a cheap way to get an extra Zephrys, for backstab (a debatable cut but couldn’t find better and the deck is more value than tempo oriented)
– Pick pocket for Pilfer, because rogues are few where I’m at and you can get the quest completed with one card.

I’ve been racking my brains with highlander rogue since the launch. It’s a blast to play. My list is pretty similar except I keep trying to fit in a win condition that never works (Mecha’thun + Anka, Leeroy + Shadow of death…). I see you haven’t bothered ! I’ll sure give it a try, hoping to find better success.
Overload Token Shaman - Shadows Post-Buff - #1 Legend (Fen)
Against more aggressive decks (Hunters, Druids) your goal is to gain board control, which you can do thanks to your overload cards that trigger Likkim and especially Thunderhead. Once you have board control, you decide what trades you make, so you can maintain board control and snowball from there with mutate combos etc.
Against control decks your goal is to play enough minions to force board clears while keeping enough minions in hand to put a board back after each clear. Then you capitalize on an unanswered board using Bloodlust or Stormbringer, for the win !

Thanks for answering ! Still not convinced though. A second earth shock seems better, especially with all the hunters around. Plus a second haunting vision: getting a third hex, a bloodlust are a lightning storm can be clutch. Just can’t see totemic smash worth a deck slot.

Nice list ! I’ve been trying to make something work on these lines, without much success… Paladin lack a really strong end game as a control deck. To make it stronger, I would suggest adding Zola (for Lynessa) and a Faceless manipulator (for Galvadon), although it might the early game less consistent. Wargear seems also to me like it should be included.

I wonder if Bronze Keeper isn’t better than Nightmare Amalgam. T2 Upgradeable framebot into Bronze Keeper seems strong, especially against aggro.
