We need to see more cards before we can rate this one. But it could be very cool. Recruit is obviously a strong mechanic and i hope they use it sparingly for druid and ESPECIALLY priest.

Easily played around, so if it ever gets good people will adapt to it and it will become obsolete. 7 Mana is also a bit much, 6 would’ve been good and 5 would’ve probably been a bit too much. It’s a cool card and design and expresses player skill (which is a rare sight these days) but the control hunter archetype doesn’t need this. It needs good AoE, healing and most importantly, card draw.
2/5 but it has some potential.

i commented the same thing earlier. it has happened before like with death knights not knowing the hero power but still rating it, or quest rewards without knowing the quest itself. Just stupid.

I agree, The loot itself is also very vulnerable unless combo’ed to kill it on turn 9-10. With all the spellbreakers in the current meta and bonemares to turn it into a really strong taunt body.

Fair enough but i think the healing one would really help discard warlock though. It gives them a good card to discard and most importantly it gives them sustain, which is what (discard)warlock needs.

hopefully, perhaps the hero power does a certain thing mulitplied by the cards you discarded. For example, deal X damage where X is the amount of cards you discarded this game. Or summon and X/X fel guard, where X is… or restore X health… There are a ton of possibilities and i really hope they make it a good legendary. Because warlock is my fav class, and on the knights of the frozen throne art, gul’dan looked by far the coolest.

I agree the loss of reno left warlock without a good heal, which is one of the main things it needs. It are not it’s cards that are weak (hellfire, abbysal, siphon soul, twisting nether, lord jarraxus), but it’s survivability, warlocks are a class that inherantly takes more damage because of their hero power and some of the good cards (again, hellfire and abbyssal) but if they can’t heal it back up that’s a real problem. Now i think the new warlock card defile will most certainly help warlock survive the early game, but i don’t think it will be enough…

Yes i love to play discard lock as well, it’s one of my favorite decks, but i don’t think this card is particularly good for that deck because it’s just a stat block and is too easily abussed. If it had an immediate impact like taunt (or lifelink) it would’ve been playable.

I like the idea alot, but this is too easily abussed by your opponent. The thing about discard battlecries is that you have some control over it, with this you don’t, so even though the stats are there i think this won’t see play even in discard decks (which is sad because i run a wild discard lock with quest and i love it, even though it isn’t very good). What blizzard needs to realize is that we don’t need more cards that discard, (we have enough of those allready, especially doomguard and lakkari felhound, which is strictly better than this card) we need cards that synergize with discard.
Two ideas i have are:
2 mana warlock spell, draw a card, if you discard this draw two cards.
3 mana warlock spell, restore 6 health to your hero, if you discard this restore 12 health instead
5 mana warlock spell deal 6 damage randomly split among all enemies, if you discard this deal 9 instead.
or something along those lines. I really hope blizzard does make cards like these in the future because i would love to see the discard archetype take off, especially after all the synergy cards they have allready printed (even though most of them are just plain bad)
If it gets immediatly removed, its draw 3 for 6, which is worse than nourish, if it goes of two times it’s good. If it goes of more than 2 times you draw to much i think. Your enemy would probably never destroy this weapon and mill you by doing so. It also has 0 attack and 3 durability so you can’t get rid of it yourself. Don’t think this will be seeing much play. Which is a pity because the artwork is stunning!
