I think a midrange hunter wouldn’t include this since it’s to slow and it generally tops the curve at 6 with highmane/deathstalker or 7 with a bonemare. But you are right that it is very strong without build around allready and might even be strong enough to become an include in midrange.
Kobolds and Catacombs Card Reveal Livestream - November 20th, 11am PST!
Thank you very much, love the site! I recommend it to all my hearthstone friends and check multiple times a day!
Hope i didn’t come over cocky, wasn’t the intention just thought if the time is mentioned once in the article it could prevent dozens of people googling it and save a lot of people some time 🙂
Lesser Mithril Spellstone
Since it says equip i guess it does, if it said play it wouldn’t. However nothing has been confirmed yet so we’ll have to wait and see.
Lesser Mithril Spellstone
Can’t rate the card yet, if the 5/5 are just blank with no text this card is probably too slow, but if they have taunt that’s a whole other story. Love the design on this one (and the other spellstones too) and can’t wait to try it out.
(rating it later when we see the 5/5)
The Runespear
yogg saron overloads you, so i guess it does. (for the record i don’t think it should though, since yogg saron (or this weapon) is casting the spell and not you)
The Runespear
Too slow and risky, but very fun. If you overload from it (yogg saron overloads you too) it’s pretty bad, but if it doesn’t it might be strong with stuff like lightning storm, feral spirit or volcano. Also potentially very strong in arena.
1/5 in constructed, 3/5 in arena, 5/5 fun
Level Up!
Hmm, probably descent in standard, although hard to set up. But in wild… Remember must for battle and quartermaster are still really strong cards in wild and silver hand paladin is a pretty strong deck already. Even though not as strong as quartermaster, a good addition to the deck-list nonetheless. Silver hand paladin will most likely be a tier 1 or 2 deck in wild now.
2/5 in standard, 4/5 in wild.
Sudden Betrayal
Weaker than the other secret, and even that one is probably not worth a deckslot, however as with the other secret if rogue ever gets a card like hydrologist this is actually pretty good in some match-ups (big decks). As a standalone card, its pretty bad i think

Also barnes is very good in such a deck since it’s not a beast and can’t get pulled from this. (also you will most likely draw barnes before this since you mulligan for it)

Very fun card, might make an experimental big hunter work, but only in wild (hello gazh’rilla). Insanely strong when in a deck that’s built around it. But the question is if that deck can afford to suffer such great inconsistency (not playing small hunter minions) and try to survive early with the weak spells it has. Add up to that, that hunter has no healing (except for antique healbot in wild) and you’re stuck with a deck that will just straight up lose every aggro match-up. Whichever deck you put this in will most likely have a deathstalker rexxar, so value-wise it will be a strong deck, the question is again, will it survive?
3/5 (has potential, but leans closer to 2/5, i’ll give it the benefit of doubt)
Duskbreaker
This is a no-brainer, straight up ridiculous. Dragon priest will almost certainly be at least a tier 2 deck, purely carried alone by this card. Auto include in every priest deck that runs a few dragons. Don’t think raza priest will play it unless the list gets heavily modified towards more dragons, but i think that would lower the consistency of it, since you want to draw more draw, or your combo pieces. Perhaps if dragon soul turns out to be a really good card it will be included in those lists as well. Anyway this card is nuts, expect to see a lot of it.
5/5
Cheat Death
So this card is pretty good, but not as a card slot in your deck, perhaps in some super aggressive rogue that tries to prep this out with good early minions. But why would you play that over keleseth tempo rogue? This card costs 2 so it can’t be included in those decks. Won’t see play but if rogue one day gets a card like hydrologist, expect this one to pop up very often (as a discovery that is)
2/5
Branching Paths
This card is very versatile, but all effects are severely overpriced, especially the Attack buff. However the draw and armor gain are descent and the versatility is a big plus. Might see play as a one of in some druid lists, and a two of in combo druids (wild aviana kun?) But i doubt it will be good enough.
2/5
Branching Paths
This can’t work with fandral since you can choose from 3 options, and choose one works with choosing from 2 options. So there’s no way it’ll ever work, this will also be the only chose twice card so they wouldn’t change fandral for just one card.
Feral Gibberer
This is way too easily killed, a 1/1 will almost never survive to attack face and even if it does its still way to weak. Might see play in quest hunter but remember you skip turn one playing your quest, and if you play this on turn 2, there’s no chance it’ll ever attack face.
1/5

Okay thank you for the reply that took longer than googling it!
I am well aware that googling it is an option but perhaps other people wonder the same and could fast and easily see the answer here.
For those wondering, its at about 8pm (20:00)
Kobolds and Catacombs Card Reveal Livestream - November 20th, 11am PST!
How late is that in central european time?
Aluneth
That would improve it alot but don’t forget that you draw 4 cards each turn (start of turn included) so you’ll have to dump most of your cards quickly, indicating an aggro deck. But an aggro deck doesnt want to spend 6 mana and gain 0 tempo out of it.
Gather Your Party
Indeed big priest is strong enough as is. Priest can under no circumstance receive any strong minions this expansion. Or any good cards at all, it has had enough in gadgetzan ungoro and frozen throne. With two strong decks in the meta its a class at the verge of becoming oppressive.
No but it lets you choose from three options, so it probably won’t. They also said it is the only chose twice card so they wouldn’t change fandral for only one card.
