What's Hunter Losing in the 2019 Standard Hearthstone Rotation?
Why would someone play Spell hunter in the year of the dragon? There will be no new interaction, so there’s no need to play only spells in hunter.
The Forest's Aid
Yeah boi, like your attitude. Let’s have a noice League of Legen…..oh sorry…..of Evil !
Control Heal Paladin
OMG. I have been a paladin main since KaC, I have now all paladin’s cards in Standard and many in Wild, and I swear I NEVER EVER thought of this combo. This is brilliant, but tbh i do not have rummaging kobold and I won’t craft them for this deck. I don’t think that two of them are necessary, because they are completely useless before turn 11, IF you get dk on turn 9 and you play it right the way. Don’t you think that 1 should be enough?
Undatakah Infinite Loop Paladin - Rastakhan Post-nerf
That’s great! This is actually the first time someone crafted one of my deck and said to me on a post. I am so happy I could bring to you this deck and I totally see why you made those changes. If you want to see a full guide of the deck, go on hearthpwn and search for it. Hearthstone topdecks wouldn’t let me post all the guide. Anyway, I am surely gonna try out the way you did the deck!
Early Versions of Rastakhan's Rumble Cards Shown By Peter Whalen & Dean Ayala
The first version of Jan’alai is super interesting, but I feel like the second one is broken as heck. The shrine and Gonk itself seem like the better version of the ones we already have, and tbh I am glad they did druid a pile of shit this expansion because it still has a too strong package. What were they thinking when they made that shirvallah cards? Thekal is the most broken card I have ever seen, not even joking. The concept is certainly more creative than the one of the real Thekal, so it would have been interesting if they made a card with this effect but with actual balanced stats and mana cost. Bethekk is broken as shit. KragWa and its spirit are broken as shit. And all the other cards, except for Hireek, are broken as shit.
Undatakah Infinite Loop Paladin - Rastakhan Post-nerf
Unfortunately yes. So the first time you play the combo there is a 50% chance it doesn’t go off, but since undatakah returns to the deck it is easy to play it a second time, and then the combo is certain.
Undatakah Infinite Loop Paladin - Rastakhan Post-nerf
Of course, you have to play vanguard when you have undatakahin hand
Undatakah Infinite Loop Paladin - Rastakhan Post-nerf
It is part of the combo, I made an explanation of it but hs topdecks cut it out because it was too long. Basically, if you play Immortal prelate and Silver Vanguard and then you play Undatakah, if Undatakah steals the deathrattle of the prelate first and then the one of silver vanguard, when it will die it will recruit himself. It will keep the deathrattles because of the prelate effect and then you’ll have dreadsteed, but that has 8 attack. The sunfury protector is there to give him taunt and make him an impassable wall.
Ugchdatakah immortal reviving Undatakah
I am playing this deck quite a bit and I now understand why sometimes it does not work. Basically, if undatakah takes first the deathrattle of the silver vanguard and THEN the deathrattle of the immortal prelate you are screwed. So, not only the combo is difficult to make, but then you also have the 50% possibility that undertakah doesn’t work and just returns in the deck.
Now that I raged a bit because I really hoped to have found a meme deck to climb the ladder with and it’s all gone, I can suggest a way to overcome this problem. The secret here is to play the immortal prelate two times. Then, Undatakah will take its deathrattle two times making very unlikely not to get the combo out.
Bloodclaw
Ehy guys, I didn’t wanna say it, but…….. THIS IS CANCER IN ODD PALADIN. I am serious. This is an excellent weapon for an aggro deck that just doesn’t care to be damaged.
Wardruid Loti
Of course in my comment I was talking about Standard, because I play more in that format. In these days I am playing more and more Wild because Paladin has a lot of good cards and fun archetypes in there. I experienced both the ranked ladder and the friendly one, and I have to admit that after the nerf Druid has been in a bad spot. The combo decks are really cluncky and the other archetypes just get outclassed by the aggro decks. Of course Loti with Staghelm is really crazy, but is enough? It is not a combo that wins you the game by any mean, so there’s really no point to compare it to the Head of mimiron archetype.
Mojomaster Zihi
But here’s the thing: I guess that if you set even your mana crystals to five, after you play this you will have ANOTHR 5 mana crystals to use. It seems too good to work like this, because in this case this card would hella broken, but I guess it should work like this. So, turn 6 you can play a 1 mana 5/5 and everything else you want. Late in the game, like turn 10, you’re playing a 5 mana 5/5, but you are slowing the game down a lot against combo decks and control. This card seems to me straight-up broken in every aggro or midrange deck.
Wardruid Loti
Everybody hates Druid right now because it has received some broken tools in too many expansions. Even if Hunter has the strongest archetype right now, Druid has too many good decks that are all too similar because they use the same package of broken cards. So it is obvious that Blizzard will push a shitty archetype that never worked (gaining attack for your hero and then attacking with it is one of those archetypes that NEVER worked in the history of hs) and of course the legendaries will be trash as well. Wardruid Loti sucks, and that is a matter of fact. It is really flexible, but you trade the good flexibility with shitty stats. The poisonus version is a worse wasp, and wasp has never seen play. The spell damage one is the dalaran mage. Yep, the fucking dalaran mage. The rush version is the best version and it is just like druid of the scythe ( a common card btw) and the taunt version is just shitty. Crypt lord had the same stats of the taunt version, but the ability to gain health everytime you summon something was the only thing that made crypt lord playable (and not even in all the token builds…). So what I am trying to say is that this card is boring and shitty at the same time. I don’t mind this course of action because I am a Paladin main and I hate druid so I always thought it needed a terrible expansion to compensate, but I feel every true druid main that has to craft this common card disguised as a legendary.
Farraki Battleaxe
God, this card really sucks. It is odd-costed, but I don’t think this will be viable in odd paladin. 3/3 for 5 mana is not THAT bad for an aggro archetype, but not good enough. The overkill effect is useless in a deck that wants to go face. This could be played in a handbuff deck in wild though, because that deck needs a good weapon to control the board AND buff your synergy cards in hand.
1/5 in Standard
2/5 in Wild, because anyway the handbuff paladin is trash LMAO
Hakkar, the Soulflayer
Sorry, I didn’t remember demonic project when I made the review. I am a Paladin main, so was talking from my perspective, and only warlock has a tech counter to mechathun in standard.
Of course I am not saying that Hakkar will become a tech choice just against mechathun, but I just found amusing that it totally counters it.
Hakkar, the Soulflayer
the text says it draws BEFORE it shuffles. So you take damage from the corrupted blood, then you take fatigue damage and THEN you shuffle.
Hakkar, the Soulflayer
I like this card because it is one of those neutral cards with some almost uncounterable win conditions, but far better than Mechathun. I always disliked Mechathun because with Hemet it doesn’t let you have time to counter it. Sometimes I feel like there are too many good tools with Mechathun and not enough ways to counter it (btw zero ways to counter it right now), and Hakkar is both an emprovement on this combo archetype and a way to counter Mechathun. I love it.
Spirit of the Tiger
I think that most people won’t get this card, because I feel like this card could be quite good in Quest Paladin. I played that archetype a lot and I continue to do so, and there are two main school of thoughts on how to build a viable version of QuestPala. The first one (normally played by Kibler) has really good midrange minions, like stonehill and corpsetaker, and some buffs, but not too many. To get Galvadon you use principally Sound the Bells and you use it with Lynessa as the late game win conditions. The second school of thought (that was played by Savjz long ago) is a deck full of buff spells, even the 1 cost ones to get Galvadon really fast. In this version Savjz used minion that he would be sure he could buff, like stealth ones. The 1/2 with stealth and divine shield and sometimes even the 2/1 worgen with stealth were used, and Cristology was replaced by Divine Favor: it was really kind of a “Miracle” version of the deck where you buffed a lot one low cost minion and then refilled with your draw tools.
Now, I tried both versions out and during witchwood they were both terrible and almost unplayable, but the “Miracle” version was a little bit better, but that changed with Boomsday. In this post nerf meta I had a lot of success with the “Midrange” version, but the Miracle version is totally trash right now.
And that’s where I see this card fit: if Quest paladin already run some stealth minions, this one could be far better than a worgen infiltrator or something like that. In general, I see a Quest Paladin with CtA, Shirvallah, this card and Immortal Prelate, because just a control build without any other win cons other than just buff spells will probably be not good enough.
Always glory to the Almighty Shirvallah!
Remember that Blood and ichor summoned a 2/2 instantly for 0 mana. It goes without saying that a 0 mana 2/2 is better than any lackey, but this doesn’t mean that this card can’t ever see play. I am hoepful that this can find a niche position somewhere.
