If you have an Ooze to break their weapon, and use the Sap on their cubes or/and on their doomguards, they will not be able to put that much pressure as you can gain life comfortably with the weapon.
Furthermore, with all the tools to draw cards (Minstrel, Cursed Castaway, Cavern Poison) you are very likely to have your Ooze and every tool you need at the time you need it.
To replace the weapon buffs (the pirates), you have the new one Cutthroat Buccaneer) which you can easily combo with Shadowstep to get multiple buffs on Kingsbane.
Basically, with Vanish and Sap and maybe even a silence you can force him to PLAY his Doomguards forcing him to lose cards by himself.

Overall, I am not saying that this list is perfect in any way, I’m just saying that with the right deckbuilder, this deck could potentially counter the Cubelock.
