Reno Jackson is a Dragon - Fan Theory Confirmed?!
I’m a little late to this party as I didn’t follow any of these theories up untill now but I found another easter egg after watching the Karazhan trailer (if someone else didn’t aleady)…
Spoiler alert!
When The Curator jumps into the pool I believe he triggers and effect because the Beast, Dragon (Reno) and Murloc are all present. The scene switches to Medivh (I think to make it less obvious and then switches back to a portrait of a Dragon (see here: https://youtu.be/qlHx7YNWYGY?t=52).
If you compare this Dragon from the trailer next to the final form of Reno from the solo adventure: https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/hearthstone_gamepedia/9/9f/Renogos_full.jpg?version=3e96d42f65a4dfa251860e47ed20ba4a
You’ll see the the two are almost identical. Take a closer look especially at the end of the tail, the shape of the wings and the claws.
The only thing that doesn’t really look the same is the head but I think this has been done on purpose because then the clue would be gone and because the trailer was lauched almost 4 years ago so they didn’t have the final design of what he would look like as the solo adventure only got released in 2020.
Let me know what you think 🙂
Adding in a other (more obvious) one since I’m really into it now!
Reno Jackson always wore a necklace with a Dragon Tooth around his neck: https://blizzard.gamespress.com/cdn/propressroom/Content/Artwork/Eva/BlizzardLive/artwork/2015/11/03185040-835a6335-4a8c-438e-b4e4-5a0d1c238741/Reno_Jackson.jpg
You can see in the new animation: https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/hearthstone_gamepedia/9/9f/Renogos_full.jpg
he also has a Golden Dragon Tooth as a Dragon it might be save to say he always carried around his own tooth.
I’m really curious how he got the golden tooth and why he never realized that he was a dragon instead of a human. Does someone know this?
