Awaken!
Swipe for warrior, for 3 mana with notable downsides. Still it has to be 5/5 for how insane it is against agro and how it supports the Galakrond hero
Quest Druid Theorycraft Deck List – Saviors of Uldum – August 2019
No it’s not even worth it to play it on turn 2 because you can’t complete your quest and even if you hard mulligan you won’t get them every time. Then you are drawing river crocks instead of actual cards in half your games. Replace it with early game cards like pounce staladris or anything else. This card is river crock in over half your games. You need to play this deck like the old quest rogue where you rush the quest. Stabilize. and drop big stuff every turn. Plus you have the new Druid 1/4 that is much better in this deck because it isn’t useless late game But it still cycles on turn 3 which is what you would do with the explorer ideally.
Standout Saviors of Uldum Decks From Day 1
The deck already has tons of come back mechanics against Aggro. The reason he uses those cheap cards is to get the quest finished quickly against control. And play it kind of like old quest rogue where you are slow at first but then turns 5-9 you can drop something huge every turn. The pounces are to keep you from getting behind early before the quest is complete. Defender is definitely good but usually in this version you’ve already won if you can play a 6 mana spell after quest completion. Also the choose one pool is pretty small. The one mana discovery card is super flexible and reduces the need for the really big stuff.

Get rid of the questing explorers, they are so bad with this quest.
Quest Druid - SoU Pre-Release Event - Languagehacker
No questing explorers, you don’t need river crocks that only draw you cards in the first few turns and you really want to finish this quest quickly in time for a turn 5 oasis surger or turn 6 oasis. I suggest the 2/3 legendary and maybe ziliax or crystal power for early game and healing also maybe doomsayer
Saviors of Uldum Card Reviews #7 - Ancient Mysteries, Crystal Merchant, Dune Sculptor, Garden Gnome, Hyena Alpha, Injured Tol'vir, Mischief Maker And More!
In the mischief maker review you said that you wouldn’t play this in warrior cause you don’t want to give them the hero, but you can always play this after you draw the hero especially against control or combo. and against agro you will be able to out value them anyway with 1 mana draw 3 mechs. In fact you will probably just slow them down if you give them a 7 mana hero card. The card is a lot like gnomeferatu which you say you don’t like, but there are a lot of decks that I think could fit this in if there are lots of combo decks. especially because unlike gnomeferatu if you don’t hit a combo piece you aren’t effectively drawing them a card, they still have to draw whatever you give them. The amet oak for example has 4 cards that if stolen would make the combo impossible. that’s probably a 1 in 5 chance assuming they are mulagining them away. and stealing power word shield or topsy turvey would also make it make it much more difficult to pull off. Honestly if there are more than one combo decks this will see play I think.
Dwarven Archaeologist
Seems good in wild with things like shadow visions, glyph, magic trick. Being able to bank the reduction could be really strong in a lot of decks like those with cyclone, but I don’t know what you would cut to make it work
Mischief Maker
Ok so first of all there was a card that did this a while ago called gnome-feratu the card actually saw a lot of play in control warlock because deleting your opponents cards is good. This card has worse stats but the added benefit of stealing your opponents next draw, say you are playing against an agro deck and you give them your siphon soul or a healing card. It would be almost useless to an agro deck because by the time they can use it they have already won or lost. The drawback isn’t as bad for you because you run cards that draw cards, you can decide when the effect goes off. you could even potentially give bombs to a bomb warrior. because the cards is so good verses combo and potentially agro i guarantee it will see play in some deck.
Hack the System
Thank you I was just going to write this. The nature of the new quests means that not every card needs to be a synergy piece and therefore you can play the quest later before you attack or simply mulligan it for certain matchups.
Anubisath Defender
Well there is no spreading plague or UI so it’s just nourish and the two new spells and maybe starfall that you can even think about running with this. Maybe the twin spell card but realistically any deck running that won’t want to wait with this in hand until turn 8. And stampeding roar is just not enough value in my opinion unless some insane new beasts are printed. So while it’s clearly very powerful effect trying to build a Druid deck right now that isn’t Agro is quite difficult. They lack hard removal and AOE competitive with other control classes. And there ramp engine was nerfed significantly
Overflow
Unless we get some new ramp I don’t think it’s that good. Perhaps with good heal synergies
Riftcleaver
very aggressive stat-line but a little expensive ill try it out in zoo as a late game card kind of like doomguard, you often had to trade with it against aggressive and mid range decks and this will be better at that plus it can remove pesky life steal minions. 4/5 because i think it will fit in the deck, but i dont think zoo will be that strong.
Hidden Oasis
this is a great reward for playing the quest, seriously good against agro, bombs, or for rezing lucentbarks in a control match up
Making Mummies
One of my least favorite designs so far. My favorite thing about quests in the past was trying them out after each new expansion after they received powerful synergies, but since the reborn mechanic is likely just an uldum thing it kind of feels like this cards power level is the direct result of the cards they are willing to print this expansion
Expired Merchant
Not exactly. You are getting one extra copy of your highest cost card in hand. But if this gets silenced or stolen with a potion of madness effect the card you discarded is gone for good. This card is a lot like loothorder but it can’t cycle into new options it just adds more of the same to your hand. It’s better in a fatigue matchup but then you shouldn’t be playing warlock. However if you hit a giant with this it suddenly looks a lot better because you can play those out faster despite them being the most expensive cards in your hands and get them back with 6 mana 6/6 pretty consistently. For that reason I’m calling this handlock support.
Expired Merchant
Giants!!!!! Everyone loves mountain giant right well get ready to have more of them! A lot more! Twice as many perhaps.
Sir Finley of the Sands
they probably wont fit into the same deck however it has been worth in the past with odd warrior and such..
Another strong dragon, it has great stats, the effect pays for itself and there are tons of cheap spells revealed already. I think it at least goes into Highlander priest and most dragon decks maybe it’s too expensive for hunter.
