Update On The Weekly and Daily Quest Issues

Blizzard has released an update regarding the issues players are experiencing when it comes to Daily & Weekly Quests. Many people are missing their Dailies & Weeklies – which obviously hurts their progress significantly. I experienced the missing Daily Quests problem myself. One fix was already released last week, but apparently it didn’t get rid of the problem.

Devs are still working on it, but players who lost their Dailies / Weeklies will get compensated for the missing XP, most likely some time next week (and let’s hope that we get something extra).

Read more in the blue post below:

Since the launch of the new daily and weekly quest system, we’ve been working to correct an issue that could prevent some players from receiving weekly quests, and we’ve recently discovered that daily quests can be affected in some instances as well. They are separate but related issues, so here’s a quick update on both.

Weekly Quests

Last week, we put out an initial fix for this issue, but we’ve found instances where the issue could still occur. We’re working on the fix to prevent all instances of this issue from happening in the future. We’re also aware that some players have missed one or even two weeks of weekly quests, and we’re in the process of identifying all affected accounts so we can provide the missing XP. Please be aware that the compensation may not happen until next week and may happen in different groups at different times. We’ll give updates as soon as any new progress is made.

Daily Quests

We’ve recently identified the issue with daily quests and believe we have a fix. We’re hoping to apply this fix this week and will provide an update as soon as possible. Similarly to weekly quests, we will be offering compensation for those who missed out on daily quests. We’ve just begun the work to identify affected accounts and determine the right way to compensate them. We’ll have an update as soon as we know more, but the best estimate for compensation is currently next week.

I did a quick little count of the real gold you get from dailies and playing, if anyone is interested.

    Summary:
With the new system you get an average of 1857 xp per day from quests alone and a max of 400 xp per hour, that is similar to getting the following over all the 150 levels:

    52 gold per day,
    11 gold per hour,
    During the first 50 levels

    and

    62 gold per day.
    13 gold per hour.
    During the 100 bonus levels.

(Only counting gold, and none of the “gifts” converted to gold, and also if you see the first five levels as real, and not just free gifts as they were before)

    More details bellow here:
The first 50 levels require 196,200 xp
So if we count the average xp for each level then it’s 3 924 xp per level.

So what do we get from that?
5500 gold (Counting only gold), plus a few new bonuses were the most noteworthy are 2 madness of the darkmoon packs and two tavern tickets and a hero skin.
So if we split 5500 across all levels we get 110 gold per level or per 3 924 xp

So how much xp can you receive per day?
Well there is the 6000 weekly that is actually around 857 xp per day, and let’s just average the daily to 1000 xp. That means from the quest you get 1857 xp per day.

52 gold per day, from quests.

Now for how much gold you get per hour. In one hour you are capt at 400 xp as I understand it so you can then get:

    11 gold per hour,

But this was only for the starting levels, let’s see what happens when you get to a bonus level.

There are 100 bonus levels and it takes 447 800 xp to reach the last one.
So that averages out on 4478 xp per level or per 150 gold.

    So that is:
62 gold per day from only quests.
    13 gold per hour.

Now the dailys can be seen as better, but hourly, can be argued worse or better depending on your win ratio and speed. And how many new achievements you pull off.

(Also a note, I didn’t mention the five first levels rewards, because I see them as the old free quest that you should get, but you still need to grind for them so I still counted them in the xp, but you could do another calculation with the same xp, but disregarded the existence of the first five levels, since they feel like they shouldn’t need xp to get. But that’s for another time)

Do you agree, or do you feel that I have counted strangely somewhere?
Anyway I personally like the idea of the new one, but I feel that it needs a few boosts in the amount of xp we receive.
It also feels like they want free players to quickly get a few card, but just not enough to be very good without some luck or cheap deck building, so those who pay can own more people during the first part of the expansion, before the free players get father on the reward system… And maybe that is why I suddenly win so much more in ranked….

Is anyone else having an issue with the Warlock achievement for playing Darkmoon Rabbit for 1 mana? I’ve done this twice with my definitely meta and not at all meme deck of chaos deck.

    Fast marketing tips
Promise a better reward system for players to bring the hype up, get more money and more players, then release a broken and buggy system, get critics, then tweaked it. Profit.

The only solution to this “corrupted” business plan is to give them 1 star in store. It’s the only way that our voices can be heard.
oh wait. It’s happening. the score is now 3.9 on Playstore when I reply this.
