Blizzard has just posted a teaser for what’s most likely an upcoming expansion (they usually drop those a few days before the official announcement). The video and title look like a reference to Quillboars, possibly Razorfen Kraul / Downs dungeons, or maybe The Barrens zone as a whole.
A more interesting part might be the Horde logo appearing after the short clip – it might be because those are inherently Horde-controlled zones / dungeons, or maybe it teases something more. Of course, I’m making a wild guess here, but maybe we’ll get another teaser for Alliance, and the fight between Horde & Alliance will be a part of the expansion’s focus (or possibly even entire Standard year)?
The video also confirms that we’ll learn more on February 19, which is the first day of BlizzConline. We honestly figured out that much, but it’s nice to have official confirmation!

Barrens Expansion?
Does this mean we finally get a neutral Chuck Norris legendary that can do anything that any other card can do but better?
I hope there will be many torches this expansion…
Really hoping they’ll make a season long story arc again. I think that’s much more immersive and may provide better glue for solo content, mini sets and new game mode even.
Maybe something like the league explores the Horde-> the Alliance-> and gets caught in a war between the two in the third expansion?
Stand alone expansions have far from as much atmosphere.

I may be wrong, but I guess Panda won’t be a thing for at least another year.
What I really want to see is the roadmap for next year (and the orb teaser for each expansion).
Hopefully we’ll see it this weekend at BlizzCon!
And we might as well get Pandas later this year. Last year we went from alternative, Rust Legion Outland to non-Undead version of Scholomance to Darkmoon Faire influenced by Old gods, three non-related things.
Tauren new type for battlegrounds?!?
Quillboar, (and presumably Gnoll), we’re about to get a Horde expansion, so anything is quite possible. Even a Tauren Year, Tauren Hero (mentioned on Dean Q&A), and even goes as far as Horde v Alliance.
So it’s not gonna be just Tauren battleground update, but globally I think.
Just wait a few more days.
