Twitch Drops Were Active by Mistake, Some Players Got Free Packs, They Won’t Be Taken Away

Yesterday, Blizzard/Twitch has activated Twitch drops on Hearthstone streamers by mistake. Players watching them between 8:30 AM PT and 5 PM PT (evening-night EU time) could get Ashes of Outland packs for free.

If you were one of the lucky players who got the packs, good for you. Since it was Blizzard’s mistake, they won’t get taken away or anything – you can just open them and hopefully unpack a Legendary!

Here’s the official statement from Hearthstone CM:

Hey everyone, we just posted on the forums regarding this. Echoing here:

We’ve seen a lot of confusion and reports today around Twitch Drops granting Ashes of Outland Card Packs, and wanted to share an update with you all on what happened.

Today, a Twitch Drops error resulted in players receiving multiple Ashes of Outland Card Packs from watching various Hearthstone streams between 8:30AM – 5PM PT. While this was not intended, we will not be removing any packs from players who received them.
