Twitch Drops Now Enabled for Grandmasters Season 2!

Great news, everyone! Twitch drops will now be active for the rest of Grandmasters Season 2, as well as the play-offs. Sadly, there are no guaranteed rewards this time around throughout the group stages, but they will randomly drop 1,5000 Saviors of Uldum packs every hour to the eligible viewers. Given that the numbers aren’t as high as they are during major tournaments, Twitch Drops will be running for 14 hours daily, and that part of the viewers surely don’t have their Battle.net account linked, your chances for free packs are pretty high.

Guaranteed rewards will return for the play-offs, and will follow a similar formula to the Masters Tour Seoul (as well as the previous big events with Twitch Drops) – you will need to watch 3 or 6 hours in total for 1 or 2 guaranteed Uldum packs. But given that there’s still over a month until play-offs, this is the less important part right now.

Random Twitch drops are running right now on the official PlayHearthstone Twitch Channel, and will do so for 14 hours during every Grandmasters day – so Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Players will be eligible for random packs between 2 AM and 4 PM PDT (11 AM to 1 AM CEST), but ONLY if they link their Battle.net account on Twitch.

How to Link Battle.Net Account on Twitch

If you still haven’t done that, here’s the official instruction on how to proceed:

  • Log in or create an account on Twitch.tv.
  • Navigate to the Settings menu by clicking your account name in the top-right corner of the home screen.
  • Navigate to the Connections tab of the Settings menu.
  • Find the Battle.net section, then follow the instructions after selecting a region and clicking Connect.
  • When connecting accounts, be sure that you’re currently logged into the Blizzard account on which you’d like to receive your rewards.

Sadly the Regular Season Random Drops and Playoffs Random Drops are not for my country. “All Entrants who are not residents of Mexico or Brazil” . . . I don’t understand why. Less bad still have 2 packs from Playoffs Guaranteed Drops.

    Am I reading this right?
Twitch Drop is set on October 11th-13th on 2AM?
2 AM is basically sleeping time no?
2 AM until 4 PM. that is 14 hours of events.
    Good luck.

and to add things, there are 2 twitch drops.
for Season 2 (Sep), and for Playoffs (Oct).
and no matter how long you watch those, the accumulative hours only works 2 times only?
6 hours total for Season 2, and 6 hours total for Playoff?
and all of those hours in between for a chance to get free packs.

I hope to make it. Or I could just set my PC to be online at that hour while I go snooze….

Around 1 pack every 10 hours and not even guaranteed, they are so generous.
Also only 10% of the time is actual gameplay (the time before the rope start to burn don’t count), no thank you

That’s 315,000 packs in total, I’d say that it is pretty generous. Always could be better, but why would anyone complain about them giving out hundreds of thousands of packs for free?

It’s not meant to force you to watch, it’s that you get a one or two extra packs for watching if you’re doing it anyway. I always tune in for at least a few hours every weekend and I did it before the drops, so for me it’s just extra free packs (I’ve already got one today).

This is shocking news to me. Stonekeep actually wants the extra packs?
I thought you were the one who shares all those free gifts of bundles so generously.
that means you could actually be quite rich yes?
        why need extra packs anyway?
you could just buy the packs literally when you want it.
